Queen Sofia recovered a tradition already forgotten, that according to some sources dating back to Isabel II. There really is no explanation why she decided to recover such an antiquated tradition.

Queen Victoria Eugenia wore on these events dresses in the fashion of the time, with normal colors and hat.

In her early years as queen and princess, Sofia wore non-black colors.

I like the suit, but I would have preferred a different color for her shoes. I've never cared for an all-white outfit, with nude/tan shoes, though that seems to be popular.

Letizia looked absolutely gorgeous today. The outfit is perfect like at the first time she wore it. It is festive and appropriate for the event. And her hairdo is great.

This look is wonderful and classic. She looks very elegant.

Yes, love what she did with her hair. Great suit, great posture and bearing.

I loved her look and the hair was styled nicely with this outfit. Intact, I like the outfit better than the first time she wore it, simply because her hair was all up and not in the way of the embellishments around the neckline.

As much as I lived the outfit, I thought it as a disappointment that she recycled it. It's one of those outfits that was worn on a very special occasion and should not be worn again but put in a museum or stored somewhere safe for a future display.

This is a gorgeous look for Queen Letizia. I know I am in the minority, but I like the wavy hair, it goes along with the whimsy of the flower scattered skirt. While I like the sleekness of the bob for the most part, it can look too severe at times. It is nice that she has the option of wavy hair. Kudos for Letizia for doing something different!

I am really impressed about the versatility of her haircut. Great that she is trying out something different nearly every time since she changed her hair style. You really see, that she has a lot of fun with another look every day. Great!!!! Love it!

Okay, I agree the shoes are hideous, but the dress is FABULOUS! She looks wonderful and I am really liking her hair this length, straight or curly, it looks more polished and professional. Glad she decided to cut it. And the Carolina Herrerra dress from yesterday was really great as well. Nicely done Queen Letizia.

Letizia's outfit is just gorgeous, so elegant and stylish. The white lace looks good with green dress. This time the curls suit with the outfit. She took a risk with the shoes, her shoes don't bother me at all. Letizia looked fantastic today.

Going to ignore the shoes and concentrate on the rest of the outfit - which is fantastic. Love the colour of the dress underneath and then the lace overlay coat. Reminds me abit of the white lace overlay coat she wore for Sofia's baptism. Her hair looks great today and she is glowing with pride

Letizia's dress is really beautiful and I love the lace overcoat. The shoes aren't pretty and I wouldn't mind if she didn't wear them again, but otherwise she looks perfect.

Apart from the shoes, it's an impeccable look for her. The flippyness of the hair is fantastic and really goes well with the fit of the lace overcoat.

Letizia looked very nice today. Her hair was styled perfectly and looked good with her outfit. I like the color of the dress and the white lace coat. I must say those heels are hideous, simple white or nude pumps would've looked so much nicer.
