Her Majesty looks delightful in pink. She pulls off bold colors very, very well.

When she smiles like that, I can't help but grin too . That woman definitely knows how to enjoy life.

Pretty in pink! HM's absolutely stunning today in that hot pink and just so chipper; it's a pleasure to see her. And I love seeing the paisley brooch, too.

The Queen wore a lovely yellow ensemble for yesterday's The Commonwealth Day Reception At Marlborough House.
She accessorised it with a lovely brooch, pearls, and black gloves with the trusted black bag.
I love all the bright outfits Her Majesty has been wearing lately! This yellow look is very flattering as well; the only thing is, I think white gloves and bag would compliment the overall look better.

Yes, lately the Windsors have been a very, very smiley bunch . I think, as a family, they're quite happy with all that's been going on for the past couple of years.

I don't know too many people who are able to pull that particular shade off, but Her Majesty certainly does. Very, very lovely, as usual.

I would have preferred white gloves with the white trim of HM jacket.

I love it!
And I see what you mean Daria, because on most people, that shade/shiny textured fabric, of the top, would make them look like a glow in the dark Big Bird ( are H.M and Sophie taking leaves out of each other's books? ), but H.M really pulls it off.
I normally don't like " tiered wedding cake" skirts ( for the wrinkled effect)either, but somehow in this case it all works without being an eyesore.

The black accessories are too strong for the delicate yellow-gold color, but HM looks beautiful. I love her skirt, but am not too crazy about the white embroidery on the jacket. I see she and Angela Kelly are really pulling out the fashion stops for the Jubilee year. And that could be the Jardine Star brooch she's wearing.

I like the yellow dress but combined with this ugly jacket it looks outdated. The Queen can do much better than this.

The Queen wore a lovely purple outfit for the official reopening of Kensington Palace. She accessorised it with a beautiful flower brooch and string of pearls, as well as her usual black bag and gloves.
A lovely look. I'm not very keen on the skirt (or dress), but the overall look is very pleasing. The colour is very flattering on Her Majesty.

I love Her Majesty is purple. It suits her so well. Not crazy about the dress/skirt either, but I think the overall look is delightful. Her jewelry is spot-on as well.

Beautiful tweed coat with a lovely curved hemline. What I don't like about the dress is that it appears to be buttoned-down, since you can obviously see the button, so it somewhat spoils the look giving it a more casual appearance. But the blend of purples is beautiful on her, and the flower brooch a stunner. I'm unaccustomed to her not wearing a hat, though; it's as if a basic part of her wardrobe is missing.

Maybe she viewed this as an "at home" event not requiring a hat, since it is one of her palaces and formerly the home of her sister and several relatives.

I had the same feeling, Baroness. A major part of her outfit was missing! Her hair looked lovely without a hat, however.

There's just something 'off' about this outfit. When it comes to the Queen's coats I feel they should either be waist length, or the same length as her dress underneath. The length of this coat is kind of awkward.

I agree... and I think maybe it was that the skirt was a button down, intorducing a vertical line. I think if it had been just a straight skirt it would have been more pleasing. I like the attempt. It must be difficult to have to have sooo many day dresses as part of her working wardrobe and introduce some variety. We all know we have our our 'crutches" in our wardrobes that are flattering on us and we tend to over-use. bravo for trying a something different.
