The provincial house is located in a former bank building that was renovated by architect Vermeulen.

Queen Beatrix attended the premiere of the show "The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic" at the theatre Carre in Amsterdam today, June 22, 2012.
The show is a biography about the youth of the Serbian artist Marina Abramovic. The leading role is played by Marina and Willem Dafoe.

Loosdrecht today, June 23, 2012.

Queen Beatrix has awarded Dutch restoration and interior architect Krijn van den Ende the Order of the House of Orange at the Palace Huis ten Bosch in Deen Haag yesterday, July 3, 2012. Van de Ende specializes in the renovation and redecoration of the royal palaces and government buildings.

And today, July 4, Queen Beatrix has attended a gala in honour of the 80th birthday of the The National Ballet's choreographer Hans van Manen at the Music Theatre in Amsterdam. Hans van Manen has created more than 120 ballets.

Queen Beatrix attended the closing of the seawall of the Maasvlakte 2 in Rotterdam today, July 11.
The Maasvlakte is a reclamation project in the North Sea for the development of the port of Rotterdam.
The harbour area is 20% larger and the Dutch coastline is approximately 3.5 km further out in the sea.

Yesterday, September 5, Queen Beatrix has handed out the Medal of Honour for Art and Science of the House of Orange to Irma Boom, a typographer, teacher and designer who specialized in the design of books.
