Beatrice and Eugenie attended the annual Easter chruch service in Windsor today, March 27, both wearing nice coats and hats:

I don't like either outfit; the hats, shoes, and purses don't seem to coordinate with anything. Why is Beatrice carrying a glittering evening clutch with such a casual trench coat?

Why does Eugenie wear a pink hat, green purse, and tan sandals with a navy trench coat?

Everything just looks off to me.

I agree with the gold purse for Beatrice, doesn't go with the outfit.

Disagree with Eugenie, those are nude shoes not tan and the purse doesn't stand out. The pink hat is a nice pop of colour.

My mom says knowing B, and no we don't really- she'll wear a hat of an Easter basket with eggs!

Eugenie is wearing nude accessories, Beatrice's bag is the only odd thing in her outfit not everything has to match especially hats and shoes.

No they don't have to match, but they ought to coordinate. Those accessories just look jarring, imo.

Other than Bea's purse, I think they both look great. Eugenie's colorful accessories are great. Her dress and shoes are both neutral so adding colors in the purse and hat work. Since neither the hat or purse are bright in your face, they work well together without being the same. Unless you can match the colors identical shades, like they are actually made as a pair, it is sometimes better to do different colors that work together. A green hat and purse that are not exactly the same shade would stick out more to me.

It's just quintessential Beatrice and Eugenie, IMO, nothing eyebrow raising. Reminds me a bit of Zara, and now I see Louise is coming up the ranks too (where has the time gone??)

I think they both look a mess, but IMO they usually do so I'm not surprised.

Beatrice's grey trench coat with her black shoes and dress would be OK but she's chosen a brown hat and a shiny gold purse, neither of which go with the rest of her outfit. And Eugenie chose a dusky pink hat to wear with a navy coat and navy and white dress, beige shoes, a strange little grey purse, and topped it off with red nail polish. *shudders*

I think both Beatrice and Eugenie looked lovely at the Easter service, although if I had to choose between which outfit I prefer, I'd vote for Eugenie, just because it suits my taste better. I actually rather like Beatrice's hat, it's a little less crazy than some of her others (the hat she wore to William and Catherine's wedding came to mind)!

in fairness to Bea, the royal women have all had some pretty bizarre fascinator choices along the way. It seems a family custom.

Except for QE. Her headwear is pretty normal- and still gorgeous.

I do hope that when Bea is 80, she looks back on the wedding hat and chuckles. Letting it be auctioned for charity was genius IMO.

I too loved her butterfly hat and yes, when I'm 80 it'll still make me smile and remember how lovely, young and happy she looked. Serendipity? I couldn't agree more, it was magic on Beatrice, pure joy and a celebration of youth and fun. Unfortunately too many grumps don't "do" fun!

I love her sense of fun.

I like most of her hats and fascinators, especially the butterfly one. I think the fascinators will look better and more traditional if she wore them on the crown of her head rather than on the front or side. Most look like they can be worn several ways and on different parts of the head.

I hope you were not referring to my post, it was just meant as a light hearted comment as I know there were mixed reviews on her wedding hat. I wasn't trying to be a grump or criticise Beatrice. We all have different perceptions of things and opinions. At the time I honestly didn't think it would cause any "offence" (I think offence is a bit too strong to use/not in the right context but I can't find another word which describes what I'm trying to say), but looking back perhaps I should have phrased that part of my post a bit better.

But, if you weren't, please ignore this and I apologise for making that assumption.
