February 2, 2015 - Madeleine during a visit to Gavle, Sweden wearing a black and white top with black lace detailing, black pants and black boots.

Quite a pretty top/sweater she is wearing. I find the combination and the lace to be quite pretty.

The top looks rather nice, I agree. The pants look a little too much lie outdoor, wind-protective pants. But I like that they are black. A ok/good look.

I think she looks wonderful, very smooth, unfussy and elegant, lovely hair and makeup and an ensemble that was lifted to "special" by the use of black lace, allowing the black bottom to segue effortlessly into the white of the top.

I also loved her coat and for those that thought her pants were vaguely "outdoor" I include the "outside" shot. The first isn't for the couple but the backdrop;

Haha, I'm not surprised that it's snow :P I live in Sweden myself. But you don't need windbreaker pants for that short walk :P And believe me, the snow sticking to shoes is not fun, it gets really wet really fast indoors :P

I think the top is beautiful, I love the lace detail and Madeleine herself looks great. But, the trousers ruin the look for me. They look really out of place with the top and a bit casual for the event, but perhaps Madeleine feels comfortable in them. I would've preferred a black skirt with black tights to complete the look.

The top was very beautiful, but the pants ruined the look also for me. But there is something in the side view that bothers me, that is what was under the top.

^^^I think what you're seeing is a camisole of some sort. The sweater is too small around the middle and if she wasn't wearing a liner of some sort, we could see her skin.

This is one of my least favorite gowns she has worn. I love the colors and the cut, but I really dislike the print. Just too much and not for this event in my opinion. I however love the hair and jewels.
