She looked weary, but her dress was very nice. But, it shows her state of mind. I am sure it would be better for her, if her life was such as to wear some of her "nutty" outfits. She just looks like she is wearing various types of mourning clothes.

I thought so too. Poor thing and good for her to put on a brave face and go out.

Exactly! It's all enormous fun to critique their outfits, but at the end of the day happiness is all that matters.

Didn't like this the first time she wore it. Still don't like it now.

I felt so sorry for her when I saw her this evening. I think she is very brave. The dress... well not bad but not her best one

Hate the gown but I'm glad to see her attend the festivities.

Princess Mabel's gown today was hideous, that white bow on her dress made her look like her arm was in a sling.

Agreed, I know Mabel loves her bows but this looked very out of place. However, someone on another thread mentioned this bow was from her wedding gown, so she must have worn it in Friso's honor. Unfortunately, it just didn't look good.

Oh well if that was the reason behind it was poignant and I shouldn't be so unkind.

I must admit when I saw her walk out of the palace I thought she had her arm in cast and I don't think black was a very appropriate colour for such an occassion. There must have been a better way to honour Friso.
I assume Mable has not received any of the House orders since she wore nothing.

I like Mabel´s dress, she looked dignified and graceful. The gown is a little bit unconventional but has a good fit. I can completely understand that she constantly worries about her husband, but she pulled herself together and tried to look nice and fulfill her role as good as possible!

I wonder if it was one of the bows taken from the wedding train. But I don't think black was a good color for the happy occasion.
