When I looked at the photo from a distance, I too thought (at first) that it looked like a blouse and a sash. But then I looked at it closely and thought that the shiny navy blue fabric looked like it could be one piece, judging by the line of fabric that the buttons are attached to.

Letizia made Vanity Fair's International best dress list for 2013 along with Princess Madeleine of Sweden and the Duchess of Cambridge. Hmmm.. I don't agree but congratulations.

Probably she wasn´t as well-known then as she is now. You know VF list is not very objective in that sense, the most popular figures of the year make the list. I don´t agree with most of the choices of the list, and I don´t think most of the people in the list are truly elegant, let alone fashion/style icons.
About Letizia´s first years as princess...IMO, she played too safe regarding fashion. She had the appropriate "princessy" style, but very few of her outfits back then would have made a list like this one.

Its been good,but she's also let herself down at quite a few events most notably at recent military parades where her attire was far too casual.

Finally we KNOW now that she has a nice back and even thigh with a bit of a substance.... this looks better for me than the endless discussions about anorexia  .

Though a bit to tight in the back and front feminine areas, it's a pretty pants with a beautiful color for summer, I like the blouse as well.
Letizia always has the best informal/casual wear.

Agree about the pants, the colour is nice though.
I think everybody has bought at least one pair of those green trousers this year! I see at least three or four women with them each time I go out

Trousers far too tight on the summer photo session - if the blouse had been longer we wouldn't have noticed but unfortunately it wasn't. Nice colour for summer though and it would have been a lovely outfit with the crisp white contrast in the blouse.

I think she has three diferent colors with that same trousers, the yellow, the blue and the stores' books outing in green (or was it neon green?)

Her pants are always too tight in that "area" when seen from behind. She must like them that way. They always look uncomfortable to me, frankly.
