This outfit is just awful. I like the cardigan set but like many of you guys, I don't like it with the skirt. In fact I don't like this skirt at all. A straight black skirt or pants would have been much better. Her hair today looks good and her makeup up looks wonderful.
Now onto Letizia's winter shoes. I don't actually dislike the shoes themselves, I do dislike how she is wearing them. The black ones with the black tights are fine, but the gray ones with the pants that were too short and the red ones with the red tights didn't work for me. I would love to see Letizia's white ruffled shirt, and pair of long black pants with a red belt and the red shoes (possibly a scarf for added interest), that's the way I would wear them, but that's just me.

Letizia needs to get away from her "school girl" outfits. The cardigan, although busy by itself, is an alright piece. Its the short skirt and the dark stockings with the above mentioned hideous shoes that ruined the look for me. Her hair and makeup are fine.

That skirt sure looks like it does belongs to Leonor.
Way way way too short for her status on the Royal House.
Very inadequate for a Princess I must say.
Is not the same when you are rather an anonymous person but when you are a Princess, you have to be really carefull of your choices, especially when you are representing the House of their Majesties the Kings of Spain that happens to be a well respected and conservative Royal House.
Letizia seems to be facing a mini, mini, miniskirt phase now, and when she does enters in a certain phase is that article all the time day or night. Oh well.

Sorry to say that sometimes Princess Letizia isn't very classy. but that's my opinion

yes it is
but as we can see , the model wear it with pink shoes, with "Carry Bradshaw's accessories" very Rock n'roll fashion...for going out with friends or for a private party, or for clubbing...not really appropriate for a Princess day official event ....
I love Mango, I love When Princess wear from Mango, Zara, Duti...but it's nice when the outifits are apropriate with the occasion....i can not wear this skirt even at my job, this is not serious

Actually, I don't think the gray and black outfit was too bad; much better than the head-to-toe red.

i wonder what is tempting her to use such skirts. she is generally so meticulous and this is so evidently NOT appropriate.

I love the way she is dressed. She represents Spain in a great way. We don´t live anymore in middle age. Don´t think so oldfashioned. This is the 21first century. It took some years, but right now she is on the right way. She can wear such outfits. Let her do it as long she can do it. 37 is today no age anymore. She is a young and modern woman.

Politique chic - people - Elle
Letizia is included in french ELLe best dressed listing 2009 - category "political chic", ranked 4th out of five. Top of the list is Michelle Obama, followed by Carla Bruni. The French tend to give some slack to their Premiere Dame recently, don't they.

I have this issue and they say that she gives a good image for Spain and that she wants to promote spanish brands. But they don't like the choices she makes for shoes!
I think they're right! Letizia make really good choice with her clothes but she must change her shoes! At the beginning she wore beautiful and elegant shoes but for the last past years her shoes have been hideous!

Well, the outfit they have choose is actually one of my least favourites...
I agree with them about she gives a good image of Spain, for more reasons than only her clothes, tough

Of course! but we're talking about a fashion magazine so they only take into consideration fashion choice. But of course Letizia is so much more than a beautiful woman who is spotted for her clothes

Dec 3, 2009 - Letizia in a mini printed dress matched with boots and dark tights.
Pic 1 ** Pic 2
Im not a fan of snake print so I dont like the print, the dress is way to short. I understand the look if it was a private outing or even summer but not winter.
