The one-shoulder white gown that Zubiaur posted above (the first one, with Charles in the car) was always one of my favorite. It enhanced Diana's charm & grace so much!

Seems like everytime I think I have picked a favorite, I see another picture. And I think, oh I forgot about that one! But one of my favorites, I think, would be one I don't think she was ever photographed in. It is lot #59 in the Christie's catalogue. It is described as "Long Romantic Balldress by Catherine Walker. It is strapless printed silk organza. I think it is beautiful on the manequin. I bet it was awsome on Diana. I don't know how to put a picture from the catalogue here, but maybe someone else can. If by any chance anyone has a picture of Diana in this dress, seeing it would be a dream come true.

I'm really glad - you're welcome mrsbugman!
I found two more shots of the dress at the New York auction but not Diana in it... It's written on the description that it was her private one so perhaps she didn't wear her in public.... Anyway I can imagine she would look gorgeous in the flowery pattern of it.

I thought that I remembered reading that it wasn't worn in public. Thanks so much for trying. You have a wonderful treasure trove of pictures. And yes I'm sure she was georgeous. But I think that about most pictures of Diana.

Catherine Walker was the best in my opinion desighning dresses for Diana.I have fallen in love with this dress.Gorgeous.I love the colours too Does anyone know if these dresses can be seen In Althorp House?
It is so unusual this dress in Diana, but for me is the best dress.

Actually I think they can't be seen there. Since they were for sale they must have been sold a long time ago... If I saw such an awesome dress and had a lot of money in my pocket I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it...

Wouldn't it be wonderful to own one of her dresses. I would love to just know someone who owned one of Dianas dress. I did get to see 3 of them. The 3 that one of the movie channels on tv bought toured the dept store Foleys. They were beautiful.
