The fitting is unflattering, the dress looks like it's an old favourite that's too small for her, and she's trying to squeeze into it. She also looks a little stiff and awkward, IMHO. I do love the colour, however, and Stephanie is lovely.

I love the colour!
I think that either Stephanie had someone advising her up do and including the wedding or, she didn't and now has someone advising her to wear the same type and style of clothes as her MIL.
Don't get me wrong, I love the way MT dresses but she is an of an older generation and her style suits her lack of height and rubenesque stature.

I like MT but if I was a young woman I am not sure I would turn to her for fashion advice.
The best thing she-or someone-could do for Stephanie, is to introduce her to a stylist and someone who could help her tone her body, particularly her abdominal muscles. It would make a world of difference.
I agree about Stephanie's bridal gown, probably the most beautiful one I have seen in the last decade. Which makes it all the more inexplicable that she has rarely looked as good since .

She brought that gown to life and looked ethereal and lovely in it. The fashion blogs and world press covering the event all pronounced her a gorgeous bride. What else should she have worn?
I think it was very much her style .

The dress is nice but not on her. I also find that the color is a bit too dark/harsh.

The dress makes her fatter and puts in evidence it. But the colour suits her.

You are quite right. Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie's dress appears to be to tight. Wearing a simple piece of shapewear could have improved the look.

I'm a little late to the party, but I have to agree the dress looks really bad on her. The color is great but its obvious she has gained a bit of weight and the dress doesn't help conceal that it just makes it more noticeable. Also, I don't understand why she always wears heels that make her tower over her husband. I just don't understand why she would want to dwarf him like that. It looks awkward. And her hair need some help, I thin she should get some light blond highlights to even out the dirty blond color her hair already is...it's like it can't deicide which color it wants to be. I think she needs a stylist or she needs to fire the one she already has.

Nice change for Stephanie! the color suits her very well with her complexion and beautiful hair. It is not the proper fit for her; however, it is a much youthful look!

Yes, it's a great colour but not for Stephanie. The high-cut shoulders are very unflattering and make the neck look all cluttered and choked. The combination of Stephanie's very fair skin and the gown just look like someone bled all over her.
Who is doing this? Stephanie can look fabulous but in this instance the combination of loose hair and high neck just doesn't look elegant. A sleek updo would have showed her lovely neck and taken pounds off her. As it is with the cut, the colour and her hair, it all just seems to make her look shorter and wider.
Oh dear. Not a fan.

Agree the colour is great but she looks a mess the dress appears to be ill fitting and it just is not a great look on her. IMO The dress makes her look big and I don't think she is IMO

The wedding gown wasn't her style , I don't think she had a style then or now. She seems to just wear what ever she likes regardless of how terrible it looks.

I personally think Stephanie is very sweet, but HOW can anyone get it so completely wrong virtually all the time? The dress simply does not fit.

I've reluctantly come to the same conclusion, princess carmen. I think the wedding dress was the exception to the rule unfortunately.
I don't understand how she doesn't have the help of a stylist yet. She's the next Grand Duchess and, let's be honest, a lack of funds is not an issue, so why isn't she getting the help she needs?

(..) Maybe she is color blind, too. Or maybe she just doesn't care what people think.

Very few women pick out their wedding gown without female friends and/or relatives help.

The color is great on her....but please someone needs to step in and help her find what looks good on her body. The style is so unflattering.
