DoM, quite the opposite! I think Maria-Teresa throws open her closets to both Tessy and Stephanie and encourages them to wear her things. And since neither of these young women are particularly fashion forward they are more than happy to oblige. Even Claire wore a fur belonging to M-T at Christophe's wedding. But thank goodness I can't see Claire taking fashion advice from M-T in the long haul.
Stephanie is married to the Heir. She has to find her own way, and ICAM with the poster who said Guillaume has more than enough $$ for Stephanie to hire the assistance of a pro.
Great, great post vee...I loved it!

Great post vee.
It's pretty obvious that her look in all the wedding outfits was choreographed by someone maybe her mil or pretty older sister or someone and since then she's been on her own.

This entire look is way too old for her. The outfit is nice in general, however I much prefer it on an older woman. Also, the hat is just awful! Again, it just aged her.

I agree the whole thing is just aging on her ... it is a shame but as someone else said she is yet to find her starting point but let's hope she does it soon.

I'm sorry to say I don't care for the outfit at all. The top doesn't go with the pant at all.

Here, the problem is that the jacket is structured while once again she's wearing very baggy pants that don't go well with the black. I'd think black slacks or even white to pick up the piping on the jacket, and more tapered to her figure, would have been better options.

The pants should match the jacket which they don't.

Really did laughed out loud at that!
But.. she does need help.
I don't do the fashionista, spend lots of money, be the best CP stuff, but she is not maximising her potential which I see as a waste. There is something about her that makes you want her to do well, and (perhaps sadly) how she looks is part of that.

On second thought, looking at the wait staff, maybe black slacks wouldn't have been a good idea.

I also thought her inauguration outfit was from the early 1900's maybe she dressed this way in honor of the 1st King in over a century.

I just want to tell her, "Come on, Steph, you can do this! Hire someone, please!"

I'm still thinking Stephanie is mired in the fashion rules taught by her mother, a VERY conservative woman from a very conservative society, and her dress sense is stuck in the 1940's-1950's era. We're thinking Beckham etc and she's stuck in Dior, Chanel, etc. Mind you classic Chanel is timeless.

I don't think anyone here is thinking "Beckham" and honestly, it would be lovely to see her in Chanel- the tailoring would actually be good.

I think Classic would be wonderful, just not old and frumpy. A lot has to do with the fit, the tailoring, and the putting-together of outfits. I will say something positive about her inauguration outfit and the outfit from today... no scarf! Yippee!

Definitely not thinking beckham just age appropriate and tailored to her shape. As far as Chanel, some of the things would look good on her but she would have to choose the right pieces.
