I'm not sure I'm liking this combination. The hats seems too small and close to her head and out of proportion to the shirtwaist, and the combination of colors doesn't seem very coherent to me.

I get the odd day when I have time to take a look back at photos on Getty.

On the day of Trooping, I looked back at her there, and she has amazingly stable style and frankly, is not showing age across DECADES. It's quite astonishing if anyone wants to go back and look at her across time. Well put together, distinctive and true to herself. I'm frankly jealous.

And I mention it because she was wearing this style of dress and looking just as well-pulled-together 20 years ago. :flowers:
 
Lady Helen looks so lovely and elegant in that blue dress. Good to see her included in an event with Prince William at Buckingham Palace.

Totally agree with you on that, in fact she does not look all that great today, ugly dress for anyone and the hair is just pulled back in a ponytail unkempt....
 
I was trying to make out her hat in the carriage ride as she kept tugging at it not a great choice of hat or outfit on Marie Christine today.
 
(..) She was holding her hat with one hand permanently..Bad Choice.
I have seen the coin of their 40 th Wedding Birthday. no comment
