What about if we tried to set some criteria?...
Let's see, why don't you try to pick your top 5:
1. Best gala dress
2. Best cocktail outfit
3. Best daytime official look
4. Best casual look
5. That look that must be repeated never more

This is a really fun topic, carlota, it would be good to have the same for the other Princesses, with the categories suggested by Elsa M.

I definitely agree with you on this outfit, but I quite like the others! I'm not certain but it looks as though it's velvet and imo that's one of the most horrible materials around! Although the bag and belt are nice.

Best galadresses, beautifully made and original , all by Caprile

Best daytime outfit

Casual
Not the purse in the first pic, it looks cheap

Coctail/Party
Not the shoes in the first pic

I also like this one from an award show, especially the hair
http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/4...00763992nw.jpg
And this one from Rome
http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/8134/761549016oh.jpg
Never again, I agree with Cissan with that pink satin lamp shade skirtnumber and the red velvet dress for the diplomat meeting last year was not a success
Also I dont like theese
In Japan by Felipe Varela, the shoulderpads are scay and the arm so unflattering
http://img486.imageshack.us/img486/9026/15966862ky.jpg
At a wedding looking like ruffles cotton candy from Felipe Varela
http://img486.imageshack.us/img486/1291/773461053at.jpg
the space suit
http://img486.imageshack.us/img486/6392/754014290nb.jpg
Nor did I like this sparkly gala dress from Varela

Oh yes I hate her orange purses they ruin the outfits she wear them with for me

I actually liked the lime jacket in post #5 that Little_star put as 'The Look That Must Never Be Repeated'. What I didn't like about that outfit was the skirt, I don't think that the skirt goes with the jacket, a jacket that colour needs to be the centrepiece of the outfit IMO

i asked in another forum about the designer and they told me it may possibly be a juana martin jacket.

eek! this is going to be tough, but here are some of my faves:
1. Best gala dress
From Corbis, during the gala performance before the Danish royal wedding: http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...eAsturias5.jpg
Pascua Militar 2005
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...eAsturias3.jpg
and this one as well, originally posted by Larzen (although the fit of the top could be better)
http://img486.imageshack.us/my.php?i...50714515uo.jpg
2. Best cocktail outfit
From Corbis, this was a gala event but it was daytime, so i'll place it here: gala lunch at Madrid
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...eAsturias6.jpg
and this one, though the shoes are scary. also posted by Larzen:

3. Best daytime official look (for the color!)
From Getty, at the Construction Fair last february:
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...fAsturias2.jpg
-and the one she wore during the Portuguese presidents' inauguration
4. Best casual look
From Corbis, in Mallorca, 2004:
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...eAsturias4.jpg
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...eAsturias4.jpg (especially the shorts!)
-and her blue jacket and jeans, when she visited Pertegaz' studio before her wedding (posted by Little_star)
5. That look that must be repeated never more
From Hello, while touring Petra:
http://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty...agina_7_2.html
ugh, i hate printed pants!
-and the red velvet dress that, unfortunately, is on the Casa Real website as their official family photo.
i still have a lot of faves, but these ones are supreme.
peace out!

Ok, Letizia.. She is probably the most stylish princess, so there is so very much for me to choose from.
Gala dresses: This one is no contest for me- the red dress she wore to CP Frederick and Mary's wedding with the brooches and train was, unquestionably the best dress she has ever worn, and she has yet to come close to topping it.
Cocktail Dresses: The best are when she wears flattering dresses that are not so severe. I know it wasn't really a "cocktail affair" but I loved the outfit she wore to Leonor's Christening.
Daytime/Casual: Note to Letizia- get new looks! We've seen the pants suits, the skirt suits, the pants suits, and the pants suits. That said, I liked the one from the announcement of Felipe and Letizia's engagement best.
Looks that should NEVER happen again: The black outfit she wore on her first official outing after Leonor was born- her hair was all twisted and she looked horrible.
The striped pants outfit she wore in the Middle East- ugh, she looked like an old man with his pants pulled up to here. yuck.
Her best look/accessory: Leonor! She looks so much happier and softer when she is with Leonor, she should bring her everywhere.

Yep! I'd love to have similar "accessory" for my own!

even though it has been nearly six months since I posted on this thread, I still think Letizia looks best when pregnant. (well, now pregnant, not the sick, tired, and skinny pregnant she was at the midst of October) She is again glowing and happy- just look at her recent photos- they may not have been her snazzyiest clothing, but she looks about her best.
