That's the first time I've heard a ten year old's outfit being described as "matronly". I thought Ingrid Alexandra looked lovely during the photoshoot, but each to their own I guess.

Thanks for sharing the photo of Elisabeth's hairstyle. I hadn't noticed the flowers before, I really like them and they look lovely with her bun.

I want to say that she should wear short dresses like Princess Isabella from Denmark. I should use "conservative" not "matronly"

I'm not sure if 'conservative' is the correct word to use here, since it means traditional/keeping up with old fashioned values. I didn't think that Ingrid Alexandra's dress was old fashioned at all, but of course I respect your opinion.

Thanks for sharing! I really love Athena's white dress, it's nice and summery and the bow is a sweet touch. Little Henrik looks nice and casual too, just right for a summer photoshoot.

The Danish kids look very comfortable and appropriate for the weather, and outing. Nice to see Mary reusing some of Isabella's old clothing with Josephine. My belief with hand-me-downs is; if it's not stained, ripped, or otherwise ruined, and it fits, then why not? I'm sure they can afford good quality children's clothing that will last a long time, so even if they've been used, I won't have been able to tell. They look as if brand new.

The Danish children looked lovely and as others have said, appropriate for the weather. I do love Isabella and Josephine's ponchos, as well as Josephine's top with the single star on its sleeve. I see that Vincent has been taking some fashion advice from Frederik in regards to the red trousers!

August 3: Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine of Denmark wearing the Greenlandic national dress whilst visiting Qaqortoq, Greenland:

All four children ~ A closer look at the Greenlandic national dress on all four children ~ A close up of Princess Isabella's hairstyle ~ A back view of Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine

I thought it was nice of Frederik and Mary to put the children in the Greenlandic national dress, and it is interesting to see all four children each wearing it a little differently.

In my experience, most little kids receiving hand-me-downs think those are the best clothes ever because they have that "big kid" aura to them.
