I want a hat like that for Christmas!

Now, if you are a man, a beard is also a fashion-statement, right?
Here are a selection of bearded royals, with more or less success. But you be the judge.

Haakon, well, better than clean-shaved. - But a schnurrbart might do the trick.
Frederik, nah!
William, well, there is some serious potential there.
Felipe, wait until his hair is more grey and it'll look better.
Philippe, nah!
Guillaume, no, not outside certain nightclubs...
Harry, too wildman.
Carl Phillip, Well, okay.
Joachim - Photoshopped!! Never happened. A BB-prank.
But should Albert, Willem-Alexander and Daniel grow a beard?
Let's make it simple: Daniel, ain't gonna happen! He's archetypical Swedish, so that's an impossibility. Shocking even!

Henrik is a walking, talking fashion statement on his own! I agree Frederik hasn't got the face for a beard. Felipe, on the other hand, may grow his again. He seems to chop and change with his facial adornment. Has Willem-Alexander never had a beard? I'm sure I've seen a photo of him with one in his younger days. I can't imagine Daniel with a beard. I suppose it would be very dark.

I can't imagine Haakon without his beard. He looks great this way. Harry and Filipe look good with beards too. Frederik looks better without. Not sure about William and the Belgian Filip.

He tries, the good Phillip, but he has a long way to go, before he is equal to the master, PH.

Let us hope Haakon never takes the beard off. His attractiveness goes to near zero without it
Felipe too gains alot with a beard.
The Windsor boys are much better with beards too, it distracts from the very top
Frederik really, with or without, he looks 100%.
Carl-Philip needs to better maintain it, along with his long hair it looks messy at times.

My dear, Polyesco. Joachim is naturally blameless for the unfortunate facial-hair.
That was a subtle vendetta perpetrated by a vengeful Alexandra. Joachim, who is a perfect gentleman, would never ever dream of trying to grow a beard unless forced to do it.
Or as in this case urged on by a woman. It is a well-known fact that a gentleman, Joachim being one, will consider any request from a lady a command.

Frederik however, I fail to see how 77 stubbles and a cluster of hair resembling a drowned field-mouse can be sexy.
While it may endear him to a sledge-dog, he really hasn't got the face, the skin, the personality nor the genes for a beard.
Clean-shaved that works.

Think of Mary, she can't have an accessory with stubbles.

Looks like Harry Fedexed his blue suit back to William and hauled out his elegant grey suit and wore it with a lovely pale blue silk patterned tie. Very 'Dad' in colour.

I have to admit I would love to see Harry ditch the de facto royal uniform of bright blue suits.

Me too. I wish he'd be a little more adventurous with his suits. Perhaps when he marries his wife can use her influence!

Does anyone think Mary has been an influence on Frederik's clothes. Before they married did he wear fashionable suits and casual clothing?

Now that's not to say he hasn't taken a leaf from Mary's book when using scarfs. I mean, can't you just see it . . . Mary fixing scarf and Fred, intrigued, saying "yo Mares, how'd that go again?

I thought it was Stephanie of Luxembourg who was greatly into scarf wearing? Though she doesn't seem to have influenced her spouse in that direction!

Now, let us marvel at how a perfect gentleman dress and presents himself.

https://app.box.com/s/poikdeivfkos1z5iptv2e1s8gczxr29i
Joachim's attire is, as we can expect, almost perfect. Apart from the length of his sleeves. But who is concerned with trivial matters.

Observe and admire how Joachim, being the gentleman he is, naturally has his wife to the right, standing slightly behind her, allowing his lady to shine, yet being right there behind her, ready to support her.
Presentation is half the show.

Daniel's cufflinks on last Wednesday are from the official Wedding Serie Skultuna created to the wedding of Victoria and Daniel:
Prins Daniels knappar _ Kungliga modebloggen

The motive is The Polar star, an ancient symbol of the northerly Kingdom of Sweden. Part of the revenue is donated to the Crown Princess Couple’s Foundation.

I have to say that both Joachim and Daniel are well-groomed men, especially in evening wear, and are considerate to their wives.
