Function of November 10, 2003.

Horizontally ziggy red and white/silver striped tie on shirt with light purple stripes.
I like this one Felipe sported. Something about the ruby red with the silver in that eye-jarring pattern! But not so sure about all the business of that tie paired with the greyish striped shirt. Too busy for my taste. I like a simple, clean look in general. Hopefully Letizia will teach Felipe the rule of a busy tie should be paired with a solid shirt and a (thick) striped or checkered shirt should be paired with a solid or subtle-pattered tie in a co-ordinating colour.

I like this one
I have a hunch we're seeing Letizia's hand already. A tie imo is easier to give than a shirt.

Have you never seen the red pants or can we only speak of ties in this section?

Nope .. haven't seen the pants.

And correct, this topic was set up with only ties (and shirts) in mind.

October 23, 2003.

Burgundy tie on white shirt.

Oh yes, for sure he'll be in uniform. With his looks and height and posture, he was *made* to wear uniforms! I think I prefer the one he wore to Elena's wedding, mainly because the sash so perfectly mathces the Queen's blue dress. But whatever his choice, I'm sure he'll look great in it.

Agree whole-heartedly.
He looks good in uniform, morning jacket, business suit, sports outfit ... just a regular clothes-horse.

(Haakon has the same ability).

What is it .... tall guys just wear their clothes better !!!!!!!!!!!???!!!!!!!

I've noticed that Felipe likes to match his tie to what Letizia is wearing. I'll see if I can round up some pictures.

Prince Albert's Fashion and Style

Albert has a wide range of ties like his sisters have jewels. I included suits since he also has several nice ones as well. If we know the designer it might be nice to share as well since we do that with his sisters. Some are bought off the rack and others made by the Palace tailor.

Thought we could see how many he actually has and share our favorite. This one I like as you will see has flags from other countries on it and I will open with it. Worn during the 2001 World Music Awards. Corbis

I'm currently working on a compilation of Albert's ties. He recently said that his gets some of his ties and suits tailormade but often goes to the Hugo Boss in Monaco to buy them off the rack. Then he'll accessorize with a pair of expensive sunglasses, often Oakleys. I've noticed Albert, Andrea and Rainier wearing navyblue ties that look like they have the Grimaldi coat of arms printed on them. Does anyone know about this tradition? I'd love to know more about this!
