This dress is very simple, and the order enhances it. If Victoria wore anything more elaborate, it would have been too much.

Love the black, shiny close cut sheath. Must be silk satin. Interesting neckline.

September 24, 2013 - Victoria recycling her coat worn to Guillaume and Stephanie's wedding and a beige dress with a slight ruffle on the waist and down the side front.
Too much of one colour for me and its also a colour I find that she doesn't wear well but her overall is very neat.

I have always loved this Fadi el Khoury coat. It is beautiful and it is good to see a little longer coat for a change. And Victoria wears the dress she first wore by the visit of the speaker of Poland in November in October 2012. Maybe the dress is also from Fadi el Khoury, no expert hasn't confirmed where the dress comes from.

The colours of today's outfits suit so well with Victoria's own warm colours. The fascinator gives an extra warm and soft impression to the outfit. I love this colour on her, more than many of the bright coloured dresses she often wears. The outfit is very appropriate for the opening of the General Synod.

I like the simple lines of the coat and the fascinator softens the look. I don't care for the dress with it's ruffled detail going down the side. It is not a flattering style on Victoria.

I agree; the coat and fascinator are lovely, while the dress, not so much. The ruffle is a very unnecessary addition.

I am in total agreement. She looks perfect for the occasion which is what her fashion is all about.
I never cease to be amazed at the varieties of colours and styles that Victoria plays with. You can never quite nail it down and say 'this' or 'that' is her personal style because she is always changing.
Keeps us on our toes though!

Never liked that dull coat. The dress is nice though.

That shade of plum is great with her complexion. The skirt is just right, and just the right length for a serious occasion. It looks like what I would have worn to teach school some time ago. And gravitas is worth considering in such occasions. She's not just an ornament, not a fluffy one anyway.

Wow!! One of the best portrait photos of Victoria I think I've ever seen. That colour really does bring out the best in her.

It looks plum to me, not brown. I think this shade of plum suits Victoria's complexion.

I don't know what shade she is wearing, but she looks lovely. Still a little bit too severe with her hair, but the overall look is very regal.

I would also say it's plum, and I like this colour a lot on her; the portrait picture is just divine.

Beautiful eyes she has. She has pretty strong features and knows how to make them work for her-or at least hire skilled stylists and listen actually listen to them-through the right jewelry, makeup hair and coloring choices.
