After VG wrothe that she used the design by Arne & Carlos this is what could possible be their designs by looking at thier website, the websit is flash so I cant attach the pictures

http://www.arne-carlos.com/

The green skirt for a wedding is featured on their site in a slightly different colour its from their fall 2004 collection however Mette-Marit wore it in summer 2002

White Skirt and top used in Thailand they have a very similar skirt in their Spring Summer collection. Norwegian Tique also writes that this is Arne & Carlos

Thanks Larzen. Is this the skirt you mean (the white one)? I can't find the green one.

VG today has an article about the woman that now is responsible for helping Mette-Marit with her wardrobe. Her name is Petra Middelthon 33 (3. picture)and she works as a fashion editor in Norwegian Tique. She was responsible for putting together Mette-Marits wardrobe in Thailand and Malawi, she has worked for Mette-Marit since late summer 2004, she still works in Tique so I guess this is just a part time thing. Middeltthon is from Kristiansand, where MM also grew up and they have according to VG known each other for long time

VG also writes that the Norwegian design duo Arne & Carlos are good friends of Petra Middelthon and that Mette-Marit has started to use more clothes from them. Middelthon will not make any comment to VG, nor will her boss in Tique.

According to VG this white skirt is by Arne & Carlos

Today VG has also chosen the most well dressed women in Norway. As usual the pop artist Bertine Zetlitz won, Mette-Marit came 4th which is her highest place on the annual list ever, last year she was nr 9. Princess Märtha Louise came as nr 11, she was nr 7 last year, very serious thing this list....:D

According to VG Petra Middelthon chose this black dress for Mette-Marit for the opening of the Queen Maud exhibition. This dress is also supposed to be by Arne & Carlos

This blue dress with white buttons is from Arne & Carlos.Used on arrival in Poland

http://www.arne-carlos.com/

Pictures from isifa.com

This beige all-weather jacket is from fjällräven, a swedish brand for out door clothes, very popular in Norway.
http://www.fjallraven.se/
Haakons colourful:cool: jacket is from Helly Hansen http://www.hellyhansen.com/
Picture from cover.es

The flower on Mette-Marits dress is by designer and stylist Tommy Løland, according to "se og Hør" Mette-Marit uses his accessories quite often.(corbis)

The dress for Oslo fashion week is made by a Norwegian designer as she confirmed it when asket about it. Im 99 % sure the dress is from Arne & Carlos as their newest collection features the wrinkled details the dress has on the waist on almost all their clothes. http://www.arne-carlos.com/ I dont like it very much but atleast the colour is nice. (colourpress)

This skirt is from Matthew Williamson, Princess Astrid of Belgium used a dress from his collection for the Greek state visit (fotobank and vogue.com)

Helly Hansen is a great brand

i had a fjällräven back pack as a child

I do hope we'll see her in beautiful, well-coordinated outfits once more. At the moment (see Bakerud) she seems to choose the things she throws on blindfolded.
(It's not that I don't sympathise - I can understand she'd rather stay at home in bed; but she can look a lot better if she makes some effort.)

I agree, it does take some effort to look good all the time (but then I don't think any of us have been able to achieve looking good all the time, not even royalty!), but if Mette-Marit had a stylist to advise her, maybe that stylist could make some decisions for her now that she has more important things on her mind.

It isn't easy looking stylish and being comfortable when pregnant, but there are some great designers who design beautiful and practical maternity wear, especially in Europe.

Maybe she will look to them as her pregnancy progresses?
:) :)

Does anyone know who designed these hats?

The first one she wore at Ingrid Alexandra's christening.
The second at Felipe and Letitias wedding.
I have read in a post of Larzen (and she always have rigth!) That the hat in Felipe and Letizia's wedding is from Philip Treacy. I also think that the hat in Ingrid Alexs chrisening also is from Treacy.

"Hjemmet" today had a story on Mette-Marits designers, they write that almost all the clothes in London was from Norwegian designers.

This green dress is by Astrid Myklebust, never heared of her before but she has gotten her education in Bergen, Oslo and Notodden

foto from VG and scan from se og hør

This blue coat and dress is from Ove Harder Finnseth, the hat is by Mona Strand according to the same source

fotos from gettyimages

Also in London she used Arne og Carlos. The arrival coat looks very much like their work, but it is not confimred

thanks larzen for spotting those! mette marit looked incredible in her visit to london. i most liked the ove hard finseth coat and obviously the green dress, it looked really young and refreshing.

A small interview from 2002 with Andrè Wallenborg, the designer that made her pre wedding dress and some of her purses, he also made the dresses for Ari Behns mother and sister in the 2002 wedding. He is from the same town as Ari Behn and his family, but it seems he now only does purses and not dresses anylonger. Pic from dagbladet

Background: Esmond School of Design, has his own design firm since 1999 and sells his purses in Oslo, Tønsberg, Tromsø and Moss
Prizes: 700-5000 NOK
His website has been under construction for a long time

What is the current trend in bags?
Many small and Medium sized handbags, especially in leather and cord velvet. I only work with natural products and have used a lot of cow leather but also seal skins, after many years it has finally become accepted to use it. If you look at party purses the colours are purple brown and egg plant, also winter white is coming

Why use a purs/bag?
Its feminine, an accessory that can dress up or dress down an outfit, its also economic, instead of buying a new outfit you can use it with new accessories, besides a good solid purse is environmentally friendly, you don’t have to change it all the time and it produces less garbage

Why do you make purses?
When I went in the military I wanted to make something small that I could send in the post, so I brought my sewing machine to Bardufoss, made purses and bags and sent them to stores in Oslo. The guys who lived with me were a bit sceptical in the beginning but they did not say much. Since then I have also made dresses, but now I have decided to only make purses, I would rather be really good in one thing

Where do you get inspiration?
My bags are usually simple and symmetric, and I get inspiration from architecture and travel, I follow trends when it comes to fabrics and colours, but that is not the most important, I make what I like

How is it to be a purse designer?
I feel its easier now than before. People are more in to accessories and are happy to invest in it. But its not so easy to make handbags when I don’t use them myself, I have made several mistake but my girlfriend, my mother, female friends and clients help me and I feel I now have a lot of “know how” on purses

The designer of Mette-Marit's first gala dress in Sweden is Alberta Ferretti. http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/430466-post50.html
Incredible how she managed to pick the worst dress in the whole collection:(
I attach the pics here for the future.

She has worn Feretti from the beginning as Haakons fiance, forinstance first time on the Balcony national day, its posted earlier in this thread

This cape she has used several times is From Alberta Ferettis Autumn-winter 2004 Collection.

And the Dress From Alberta Ferettis Spring Summer 2005 collection she wore early in her pregnancy with Sverre Magnus for the Japanese return Banquet, she should have used this one in Sweden instead of the green one

This coat is by Cecilie Juvodden spring collection 06, she has the label Maggie Wonka, Mette-Mairts friend Bertine Zetlitz is the face of the designer. She is one of the most up and comming young designers in Norway.

This skirt looks like it is from the collection of Tina Steffenak Hermansen, her label is called TSH

Both designers show their ready to wear collection at Oslo Fashion week
(Sources: Nettavisen, TSH and Magie Wonka)

EDIT to ADD
Nettavisen has also noticed the Maggie Wonka coat, the designer does not like to talk about her clients but says:
"I cannot deny the coat she used on Ørlandet is from our collection, Its super-nice that she uses our clothes. Many people has contacted her having recognised the coat.

Her mountainclothes for the national park opening is from Norrøna, I think every second Norwegian must have something from Norrøna (the other half has Helli Hansen:rolleyes: ). Both the jacket and pants costs 999 Norwegian kroner:p
It is called Amundsen http://www.norrona.no/web/homepage.nsf/web/index.html

After the engagmenet the tabloid VG went around in the posher shops in Oslo finding outfits that Mette-Marit could wear. They suggested this ice blue silk suit from Michael Kors, and actually she did wear it, for her interview/confession three days before the wedding. It was way to big for her though, she lost quite alot of weight

VG (paper edition) today has an (unconfirmed) story that the Norwegian designer Peter Dundas will be involved in making her representation wardrobe, he is one of the most successful Norwegian designers, and today he works for Ungaro. He was also one of the hottest cards when they specualted on who would make her wedding dress and according to VG they met this summer.

Se og hør has the story as well http://www.seher.no/cm/SeHer/Kongelige/Norske+kongehus/1.180089

Dundas first collection with Ungaro
http://www.vogue.co.uk/shows/photos/Default.aspx?showID=3420&type=show&pageNo=1

from vogue
New boy Norwegian-American Peter Dundas was mentioned nowhere by name on any show notes, but has come straight to the SOS call of Ungaro from Cavalli. He is not a newcomer to Paris, having worked previously at Gaultier and Lacroix, so the cocktail of experience should mean things will soon be back on track - the skinny wenches an indication of his inclination and commitment to total looks.
http://www.vogue.co.uk/Shows/Reports/Default.aspx?stID=33460
He has also done costumes for theatreshows, among other the International week in Bergen, in adition to his work for Ungaro he has some special costumers around the world he makes cothes for.

This is quite similar to what Queen Sonja (and Margrethe and Silvia as well) did, using the dane Erik Mortenssen who also worked for Balmain, if it is true that is. Actually several of the fashionistas in the press that has criticised her for using to much Italian has suggested she`d try Peter Dundas.

It seems the dress for the spanish state visit lunch at Akershus was by a spanish designer, Angel Schlesser spring 06 collection, Letizia has a skirt from him as well (side 2 and fashion from spain)

the pattern features in several of his outfits from this collection in different colors
