Oh dear. Whatever was she thinking when she donned this monstrosity?! It would flatter no one.

In contrast to Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit's ensemble was very awkward. She did not put any effort to look the part.

A plain trench coat would've looked so much better. This print is so unflattering.

i liked both dresses - particularly the pink one. i liked the use of the heavy fabric and the dress just suits MM nicely. it looks like norway is having some sun, judging by her summery dress! :)

I like the pink dress, especially the detail at the waist. The color is good on her and the style suits her as well.

The dress at the bible event is not my favorite. Nothing wrong, just a bit boring. Hard to believe its Valentino, just doesn't look that style.

I liked both dresses. The pink dress fit her well and the color suits her, but this color isn´t my cup of tea. So the second dress is my favourite.

I thought she looked great in both dresses, so nice to see her wearing stuff that suits her figure and her colouring ...the Pink was my favourite , when she does try she looks great ......must say so nice to see her out and about more this month :)

I really see Nothing wrong with this outfit, I like it !

Nice accessories. Is that a headband? I like the color and the dress - it's very subtle and appropriate. She's not the best dressed, but I just have never thought that was what she was aiming for. JMO

Very nice dress and beautiful on Mette Marit!!!!

She looks pretty good, but I wish there was a more substantial headpiece.

I thought she looked lovely Hair was boring , but she looked nice :)

I love that headpiece. Im not a Big fan of hats and I always love every hair acessories mette marit wears. And I like dress.

I wasn't sure about MM's look when I first saw the Christening pics, but it has certainly grown on me. I like the simplicity of the dress and the pastel green. The Peter Pan collar is not usually a favourite of me, but it works for this particular dress and for her, I think.

Regarding the headwear, I think Mette Marit has kind of set up her own style-pattern regarding head accesories when protocol demand them, and I like that. It's risky and sometimes it has not work well. This, however, I think it's one of her most succesful tries. I find the sparkling headband very appropriate for the Christening, and I like how it match the brooch and earrings - just the right amount of bling to raise up the outfit ;)

Very nicely put and I completely agree. MM looked lovely today. So glad she was chosen.

Not what I had expected. I thought she looked underdressed for the event. The peter pan collar is not her age nor does it look nice. The dress itself is nice and just needed to be styled better. Hair looked messy, should've been up IMO and she should've worn a proper hat.
I agree with your opinion. Crown Princess Mette-Marit could have worn a hat.

:flowers: I have to agree with what you said, my feelings better expressed better than I could.

Great color but I dislike the look.

The dress is making her old. But I love her headpiece.
