Appropriate, yes. But she could have made a little more effort in putting herself together. She is the Crown Princess, after all.
Sad to see MM fall back into her old ways after several outings of pure regal elegance...

Regal elegance has a time and place even for a crown princess. This was a more casual informal event. This more casual look was what was appropriate. 
Bit boring but lovely shade of green. Glad for some color this week. Looks good

I am sorry but this is just bad. What is with the belt. It looks like she pulled it up her chest to hold her scarf in place. Is the room windy and worried the scarf will blow up

This dress is completely unflattering. It is for a very underweight woman who is trying to look a little heavier, I can think of a few who look well in it, not her.
The Prada jacket is fantastic, even too tight I love it paired with the black pants. That is a great look for her.

OK, the water bottle made me laugh. Who else is carrying a water bottle? Of all the perks of being a princess, the one I would value most would be never having to worry about bringing my own water, cranberry juice, vodka, whatever! Even if I were served a beverage in (for example) a porpoise shaped glass and my child loved porpoises and I wanted to take it home to them, I could just mention to someone that I would like it delivered to the palace, C'mon.
