Jeans, jacket with turtle neck and punk hairdo(?), not a good look for a royal crown princess, this is not a business suit. This is a disaster happening and I wonder where her mind set is these days..

It's a french braid, but it does look like an 80's punk hairdo. I hate the whole outfit, but I've seen her in far, far worse.

I quite like this look; it's far better that most of what I've seen her in lately. Yes, it's casual, but it seems to fit in with the tone of the event. Everyone else is dressed similarly and I have no problem with royal women wearing jeans.

I quite agree with you, polyesco. However, that 'black thing' on her head beats those silly little fascinators that the Brits wear! Mette-Marit looks so wonderful in white.

Perhaps the black thing matches her accessories, in which case I think it's fine. Otherwise I would have preferrred it to match her outfit. But one good thing is that at least she made sure to touch up her roots for the occasion.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit looked nice: simple, yet elegant. I do not mind a lacy headband.

She looked chic .White suits her well.
The sleeve details makes the coat special.
The black headband isn´t my favorite, but worked well.

I think she wears white well and it is a hard colour to wear well but I really hate the bit of fluff on her head

Mette-Marit today
Never mind Haakon's ugly shoes but MM is a miss for me, too many things going and not really going well together
Brown boots, a Black dress with small white flower prints and a white scarf with pink flowers

Good grief! It appears she grabbed whatever was near and put it on! The peasant hair style does nothing to add to the 'ensemble' either.

What a missmatch. it looks like she grabbed anything she had within arm length and shoved it all together. the worse is the spring print skirt. wonder what was going on there...
