Thanks for those photos, Hannelore. I remembered that particular dress from a few years ago, but I never found photos of it anymore...Thanks!! :) :)

In a few weeks the Polish presidential couple will make an official visit to Belgium, so we'll see Mathilde shine in another gala dress!

No problem :)

I'm looking forward to the Polish visit too. Mathilde'll probably wear a dress we haven't seen before. She's very good at recycling her gowns descreetly. E.g. the silver-grey gown she wore in Copenhagen, she also wore it a few weeks later at a charity ball of the Belgian aristocracy. that way she wears her dresses more than once but the second time, it hardly got any attention (because it was a private affair)...

The one for the Belgian aristocracy. Isn't her family Belgian aristocracy? Were they there?

Yes, her father is a Belgian noble, her mother a Polish countess. I can't remember if they were there, it's 5 years ago. But they are often seen on events such as those, just like both her sisters.

New one: firy red gala dress, from Natan, for the Polish state visit to Belgium

I saw Mathilde in this gown on tv, it's very beautiful (even more than on the pictures), when she walks, the skirt sort of falls apart a bit, very special and elegant!!

This gown is lovely! I must say she has really good taste, and maybe it's not the first time I say it!!

I just love the dark blue gown she wore for the the Goldene Kamera film awards February 4, 2003 in Berlin, Germany. It really suited her, also the lilac one is so beautifull. It is the first time i have seen pic's of it.She does have tast.Simple dress's, simple make-up and simple hair duo's.

wow, she is so beautiful in that dress. I also really liked what she did with the little kids in China. She´s Such a good crownprincess

the beautiful gala dress she wore in Shanghai. One of the best so far IMO. I love the fur, and the color. It's one from Natan.

This dress is very wonderfull and suit Mathilde very well!!!!!!

I love the emeralds in the earrings.

I think the Green dress in Shanghai is the best gala dress she has ever worn, its deffenetly one of my favourite royal dresses in 2004 (and we have seen many!!) I also really lliked the flowery one for Frederik and Marys wedding, Natan really brings out the best of her

On the other hand I was not a superfan of the Armani dresses this summer, they have been posted elsewhere but I thought Id post how they looked at the Catwalk just for the comparrison (Could not find the exact copy of the pink one but the white one is similar)

They were as Catherine has written both by Giorgio Armani from his autum\winter 2004-05 collection. Usually I love Armani, very feminie and elegant and they dont scream B-list celebrety like some other labels. Unfortunatly I thought both dresses made her look a little pregnant. The Pink colour was smashing on her though

Mathilde has the most elegant way of carrying herself which makes even the dresses I dont love look good, and her hair and makeup always looks perfect with the gowns.

I love most of her dresses, especially the one at her engagement ball. But sge is so boring when it comes to her hairstyle! =(

Greek state visit to Belgium. The duchess of Brabant wore an outfit from Natan: the beautiful lace top she already wore in Poland combined with a pair of wide trousers. A very elegant effect IMO, it made her look fresh and young and 100 % elegant!

Her dresses mainly come from Natan, Gerald Watelet and Armani.

I love the green gown she wore to shanghai..does anyone hve a view of the back? She is by far one of the most beautiful and elegant CP and carries herself very well. She's the sort of lady who look great just wearing a potato sack!

Princess astride reminds me a lot the late princess Diana!

At the galadinner on the economic mission to India, March 2005

Mathilde wore an Indian inspired outfit and quite amazing earrings.

This gown was from Natan, not Armani.

Thanks for the pictures and the effort Jelka !

The Belgian newspapers said that both Mathilde's dresses for Frederik and Mary's wedding were made by Giorgio Armani, with a very specific description of both dresses the day before the wedding, so before anyone had actually seen the dress, and that's why I reported that it was Armani's. It could be of course that the newspaper was wrong.

This is my favourite one. It fitted her in a marvellous way, almost like a butterfly:

Besides that, I also loved the incredibly elegant white one.

Even though white is a colour that I thought wouldn't flatter her skin, it actually looked gorgeous, in a fairy-like way.

These are my favourite dresses having looked through the entire thread. Overall I'm not a huge fan of Mathilde's gala dresses and think she's probably the Crown Princess who could do with the most help when selecting them.
