I personally think it's a pity Mathilde never wears Dries Van Noten. It would be perfect to promote Belgian fashion (just as she wears NATAN, Watelet and Strelli), and I think his collections have some amazing pieces, pieces that would definitely match her style.

Hannelore -- thank you for all the beautiful photos! And, for me, the timing of this thread was perfect as I have been missing seeing this family recently! I think Mathilde looks wonderful in Natan. It seems the Dries Van Noten clothes were from quite early in her royal days, is that so? With the exception of the Versailles outfit? Also just want to say, it is nice to see you posting again, Jelka. Am I wrong or have you been away from the board for a while? Anyway, nice to see you're back.

She can't wear each and every Belgian designer, else she woudn't have a personal style. She's not a model after all. I'm a big fan of Van Noten, and I'm glad princess Astrid wears something of him now and then.

Catherine -- Do you have any other photos of Mathilde in (I think) the Belgian Ambassor's D.C. residence? I would love to see the interior of that residence and can't find photos.

Coat from the new collection of Natan. The blue collar is not part of it, it's a Zulu collar that she received :)

I think that's a lovely dress, it really suits Mathilde with the flowers and all. I'm glad she decided to wear it to the jubilee of the Thai King! :)

I love most of her Natan coats. Is he a designer whose clothes sell throughout Europe or does he only do custom design work?

Natan is the name of the fashion house, the designer is called Edouard Vermeulen. He has shops in Belgium, Holland and Paris.

I am always impressed with Mathilde's style. IMO, she really has some kind of je ne sais quoi that simply allows her to shine and it seems completely totally natural.

She's great.
