Not liking this look at all, it gives me the snow white / evil queen vibe. Too dark and the cape doesnt help.

I favor the top of the black evening gown, but would have like to see the bottom in a different color, and without all the strange random pleating.

I am not sure about the gown .. I am thinking it is a bit boring it's nice and I love black I don't know that she could have worn a colour I love her eye shadow though.

There really seems to be an unspoken "requirement" to wear recycled fashion an adapt jewelry in various ways.

Mary looks stunning and very regal, imho. I just wish that she had anther tiara to wear, one that had more sparkle. She cannot wear the ruby and diamond one with everything!

^yes i agree, although i love this outift and tiara, a more glamourous and sparkly one would fit better. she could do a Maxima and wear lots of tiaras, but it seems Queen Margrethe doesnt allow her to more choices;_;

It would be nice if we could see Marie and Mary lend QMII's small turquoise tiara once in a while in the future - now that we have seen princess Theodora wear it.
Wouldn't mind if QMII would share the Baden Palmette tiara as well with both her D-I-Ls - it would look amazing with their dark hair.

First impressions of Crown Princess Mary's gala dress this evening - again a dark colour,
but very lovely, especially as to the combination of the jewellery:

Too dark again but I like the neckline, and the ruby parure elevates tonight's look. Her hair is absolutely lovely.

Wow! I would like to look that boring! She looks elegant and very regal!
She is wearing a dress that was first seen in 2004 - 7-8 years ago! I noticed that Queen Margrethe's dress is of the same fabric and color!

Dark again. But absolutely lovely.
I like that the fabric is similar to the Queen's.
And rubies. Yay!

I love the rubies and the dress is beautiful. But black just looks depressing at such a fantastic event. Colour please Mary!

Wow okay then. Still looks depressing that dark a dress. Mary's stunning velvet red dress would have been lovely or perhaps the one shoulder green dress worn for King CGs 60th. Or perhaps even something new.
