If it is the same dress altered it's really well done, I like the top part more now than in the original version.

i was never a big fan of that dress (i just never really liked such evidently layered dresses in general), but it looks a lot better without those ghastly buttons. the simplicity of it is nice as it allows to show off the jewels. is that her wedding tiara worn as a necklace that she's wearing?

The dress does not flatter Crown Princess Mary at all. Heavy velour(?) material looks cheap. The cut of the dress further aggravates an already awkward look.

I love tonight's dress. I think it looks much better after having been altered, especially the little sleeves. A very simple dress yet so effortlessly elegant. And it really accentuates the beautiful necklace and her earrings. Her outfit was on point tonight (as it is to most of these events – I'll have to admit, I'm a sucker for Mary's style).

I would disagree with that. I think silk velvet can be really elegant when fitted nicely and worn with the right accessories – but I'm also a known appreciator of Mary's red silk velvet dress Like tonight's dress, I think that one is so gorgeous and regal.

What fun! Thanks for all the before and before pictures. The square neckline suits Mary so much better than the v. It must be silk velvet, very light and shows every bump.

I loved this dress in the original way and I love it now as well. The neckline suits Mary well. The heavy velvet fabric is ideal for a cold evening IMO. Her hair and make up was done nicely and I do love her necklace, it added so much to her look.

Mary looked beautiful! I love the dress on her and the different ways it's been.

Mary looked amazing at Margrethe's birthday concert! I adore her dress. Her necklace is beautiful too. I have no complaints.

The dress is pretty, but I wish she would have had a new dress. But that's just me.
