Crown Princess Mary sported a figure-hugging, stunning dress from Erdemhttps://erdem.com/ with floral print, which she teamed with chandelier earrings made from diamonds and aquamarines. The earrings are a gift from her husband Crown Prince Frederik, who wasn’t able to accompany his stunning wife to the party since he had caught pneumonia.

Indeed Mary was stunning. And that earrings... good taste of Frederick.

Mary indeed looked stunning at that Tranekjær birthday. Love these simple (floral) dresses on her, she has a radiance that makes she doesn't need big dresses. Didn't knew the earrings was from Frederik, he has good taste ;)

The big soft curls in her hair always suits her a lot. Her floral gown and hair are especially visible in the video and 'in moving':

While I like the style and colour of her dress, I did not like her hair. When she moved the dress moved and looked lovely, the hair stayed still. I found her hair too flat and straight around the face but, when she turned around, there were curls.

For me, it just seemed like a bad case of helmet hair which is a pity because Mary's hair is usually spot on. I thought the hairstyle didn't do the cut and style of the gown any favours and worse, often obscured those fabulous earrings.

So for picky me, lover of jewellery, I think she should have styled a relaxed updo to allow us to see the top of the gown properly and drool over unobscured aquamarines and diamonds.

When Danish Count Christian Ahlefeldt-Laurvig and his wife Countess Mette invited guests for their double 50th birthday at their home at Tranekær Castle on the Danish island of Langeland, Crown Princess Mary, Princess Marie and Prince Joachim were at the top of the guest list.

Love the dress. Really love the earrings. I could see Catherine Cambridge wearing that. I love both dresses in post # 324- especially the second one- and I can see Catherine in all 3!

Lovely! Love them! The man has great taste!

He sure did! The whole Aquamarine set is gorgeous, lucky girl. I Imagine he had fun looking for something really special for his new Princess. And he did well.

He did well indeed!! They both did well in finding each other and falling in love... Ah, the fairy tale life.

:previous: Have you two been watching a pre-screening of Mary, the making of a princess? :flowers:

Absolutely lovely, both the gown and earrings. I loved that the gown was of a floral print instead of glitter or sparkles. This was chic and elegant on Mary. Only problem was her hair, to stiff looking, not the soft flowing kind I am used to seeing. Fred has great taste in jewelry.

Great gallery. As I have said before. Mary is always coiffed. Hair shiny. Skin glowing. Makeup fresh. Love it!!

Well deserved indeed. Their reasons: "Always presentable without ever being overdone" is spot on :flowers:

Yet I'm convinced that Frederik (he has today been voted to the best dressed man) and Mary themselves sitting at home and shakes their head and couldn't care less. The same applies to the other royals when they are voted in some foreign best-dressed list.

Last night, Crown Princess Mary participated in INDEX: Award 2015 Ceremony at the Culture Yard, Helsingør:

Looking very beautiful and elegant in a colorful skirt, a simple black top and with a little haircut with a bit shorter hair (like we have seen her with so often before), looks great to her.

Thanks, great look! The skirt is really pretty. I'd have chosen black heels though.

Mary looks so fresh and elegant with her hair cut! Love the outfit!!

I love the outfit. She looks so lovely.

I like the outfit especially the skirt. I agree the hair is better, in particular the colour which was looking a bit brassy earlier in the week.

It looks as if I'm on my own here, though I'm not a fan of Mary's skirt. It's a little too busy for me and I don't like the colours together. However, as per usual, Mary looks sophisticated and elegant.

I thought Mary look lovely and I love her skirt, the print, the colors and the high waist looked good on her. The only thing I would've liked was a soft hairdo.

Allrighty then. And this is why I hate unrestrained hair in general. Tonight it looked muddled and a little unkept. Definitely not her usual sleek self.

I liked the ensemble outside and I her hair looked great.

Inside, the lighting did the ensemble no favours and the elements had wrought havoc with her hairstyle. I can only imagine there must have been a bit of a breeze with the woman beside her holding or smoothing her short hair down.

I don't like this dress at all.
