It is an unusual dress, but one which suits Mary. SHE wears the dress, not the other way around. This is one time I really like the simplicity of her wedding tiara...

The dress is interesting. I can't say that I'm keen, but it looks nice on Mary and she is elegant.

I think the good thing about this gown is that she's only worn it twice. And she should leave it at that, because twice was twice too many!

I love this gown, it looks very Danish folkloric to me if that makes any sense. Midnight tiara would have looked better with it.
The only thing I don't like about the dress is the bodice, too much skin showing on her chest. The way it is so wide open so to speak, makes her bust line look a little droopy. Plus, she is on the spare side so more material up top would be more flattering, imo.

Actually I also liked this gown and like it the first time I saw it because it was so much nicer that some of the other nasty creations that were worn that day.

I too like the dress. The wedding tiara worked well with it, but I agree that the Midnight tiara might have worked well with it. Perhaps on another outing.

The white dress with the appliques or whatever is okay. The problem I have is the neckline seems too wide to be worn with the blue sash. Plus the sash also takes away from the detail at the waist.

Are they appliqués? I thought it was just fabric... 😕

This is a really beautiful and graceful dress, IMO, and Mary looks amazing in it. I love the balloon sleeve and the applique is lovely. I especially like the sky blue satin lining that is revealed as Mary walks, it's a nice compliment.
The only thing I would like to see different, is the shoe. Mary's slipper is nice, but I prefer the red worn by the model. It is a nice accent color to the applique.

This gown is very reminiscent of a Japanese kimono, I thought so when I first saw Mary wearing it at the Dutch inauguration. And I guess the model's version of the dress, her hair etc. make the inspiration very clear.

Is that a new pearl necklace? She looks good though I'm not sure the waist (Mary's small in the waist she she can carry it off).
