I think the embroidery is beautiful but agree with al bina that the Kimono is a little kitchy and I am definitely not a fan of the fringe! That being said, I think her hair and makeup are superb.

 I think if she had put her hair up it would have finished the look and taken it from daywear to eveningwear.

Mary's hair style is very beautiful, very sexy and curly, I love it! The dress, well it's more of something I would have worn to go to court or in the law office.........not for a dinner with a president of a country and his wife........too business like. It is a beautiful dress, seems well made and fits her to a T, and the color is great on her, now is she had worn a lace dress in that color with long sleeves and a boat neckline, that would have been perfect on her.

Her brooch looks beautiful, I think, and it's a bit of a shame I can't see it more clearly. - The dress looks like something nice and comfortable for the office.

I like this look on Mary. The dress is quite under-stated. Almost like she was trying to not be the center of attention. Once again, her make up perfect and not shiny like others. I enjoy watching her outfits vary on every occasion.

I really don't think this is a work type dress at all because of the rich fabric. It doesn't really show up in the pictures but I would venture to say it is a very thick, silk damask type of fabric, and a little shiny in real life. The earrings and especially the brooch really make it very chic. I wish she had a bracelet to match. Her hair looks wonderful too. she is looking so good these days!

I agree that Mary is looking extraordinary on this visit. Her hair, her outfits,.. just everything! (Her best accessory is Frederik with his longer, tousled hair. He just keeps getting hunkier by the day).

I don't like it a lot either. The skirt ruins it for me, I think it lacks the elegantness that Mary would've had if she'd paired a black pencil skirt with it.

Maybe - the skirt makes her torso look so short? The proportion is bad, but otherwise it's lovely (I use that word too much, but I do mean it).

I'm not crazy about this outfit on Mary, but like the others, I cannot figure out why! Everything fits her well but something is just .. off.

I don't really like it either. I think it would look much better if she had worn the top over the skirt and not in it. Now the balance is off...
