I am not sure why Crown Princess Mary added the belt to the otherwise nice ensemble. The pearls without the pendant would be better.

She looked elegant and regal. I love the cape.
 
I love Mary's sense of style although this time I'm a little sad to see the white silk ruffle go from this stunning white gown.

The Best:

The large white pearl necklace is, surprisingly, quite stunning with the white gown and the blush pearl pendant is shown in stunning relief against the background of white as it falls just below the neckline.

The blush pearl pendant which, with her inimitable style, she pairs with a blush coloured belt and shoes, gives warmth to an ensemble that could otherwise have looked plain or cold.

The obligatory white gloves, given a touch of individuality by the stylised 'V' cut at the top of the wrist.

Not Sure:

Mary's hairstyle verges on 'messy DIY' and I feel the occasion called more for one of her dynamic updos such as that worn at the Bambi Awards.

The Sad:

The barely there, nondescript earrings and the elegant collarless, taupe overcoat that, just for a moment, I thought was another gorgeous cape!

All in all, another (almost) perfect showing for Mary at the NY Court.
 
Such a stunning and stylish outfit, so regal and just perfect for the event! Mary has started the new year beautifully.
 
I would prefer the dress with the silk on top, , still she looks stunning! I wassurprise the sash was not under the belt, a lot of times the Royals ladies use the sash with the belt holding it!

I want to be impressed, I really do. Always happy to see some recycling and I was looking forward to this Court, still one more to go. Disappointed with her hair (looks like she has kept it up for days and suddenly decided to let it down and do something with it) and I don't like the cape/coat and belt combination.

Very beautiful appearance and today too for Mary. I like more today her hair and the combination of jewels with the whole look.
 
New Year in Denmark is always my favourite!

Mary just looks stunning, white has to be my favourite out of the two though!
 
i think the blue ensemble looks a bit boring without the neck embroidery and the hair pulled up. i still like it, but it is not her best appearance for a new year gala.

that's true ashelen, i wonder what the right way to wear a sash with a belt is (inside or outside?)...
 
Loved the white just loved it and i really like this as well.
 
Today, is the last and final day of Danish New Year's Courts held by the Queen and Crown Prince Couple:

CP Mary looks beautiful and glowing again today in her recycled blue gown she also wore at last year's New Year's courts. A recycled necklace and white gloves. A long cape while arriving.
The white classic gown yesterday is still my favourite out of all her NY's court gowns.

Really like the dress, hair, jewellery. A very nice Court look.
 
Unpopular opinion, but the diplomatic corps event look was rather messy. The blue gown plus that dark cape was too gloomy plus the non fitting shape was not so flattering :S

Absolutely agree with everything you said. Mary looked great tonight, again a perfect choice for the New Year Courts. And it seems she is really good at recycling all those gowns to be worn again. That in itself if a great savings. The dark navy on the 3rd night, was a simple, chic gown of nice clean lines for this event. I would love to know more about that necklace that she wore, are the black and gray pearls? Very nice piece of jewelry. :)

I believe that the media speculation and social media comments regarding CP Mary's expansive wardrobe have encouraged some recycling. Why is the woman's wardrobe spoken about more than her work?

The white dress, Lovely dress but I didn't like the belt addition, the original belt worn previously was so much more elegant. I also was fond of the jacket matched with the dress and worn over her shoulders.

The navy dress is so pretty, one of Mary's best dresses IMO.

I don't like the way the pearl "choker" sits above the neckline of the dress. Preferred the previous collar much more.
