Have always loved that white coat. Looks good with black turtleneck. Her hair looks too straight, stringy and in her face, surprising for her

I am in perfect agreement on all counts. Her hair being the biggest surprise, and not in a good way.

I also like the outfit, and I also like the fact it's been around for years and worn many times.

Is that a print? Beading? Cross stich? It drapes like beading but all I could think of immediately was needlework. Anyone have a better idea?

From where I am, it looks as if it's cross stitch, though of course I could be incorrect as we all see things differently. I'm not a huge fan of Mary's coat, but the rest of her outfit is nice and she looks elegant, as per usual.
I think I prefer Mary's outfit she wore to the UNFPA event at Christiansborg. Her coat is lovely and I love the black and white combination. One can never go wrong with black and white IMO. Her dress is nice in general, though I'm not a fan of the polo neck design as it looks a little odd and out of place to me.

I have misgivings about this outfit......stripes going around a woman's hips always make her look wider then she is..........not a good thing at all, so why did she wear this skirt? I like the top, the boots, the shawl, the hair and make-up, the skirt.........not at all.

But the lines on the skirt create the illusion of a slim silhouette. If anyone can wear this, it's Mary.

How do lines going around your hips create the illusion of slim hips? When I went to school for fashion design that was one thing I learned about stripes and it stuck with me......Mary is an exceptional dresser, she can really put together some wonderful outfits, for me, this isn't one of them, that skirt is a big no no.

I think even though Mary has a stylist, she wears what she wants even if the look isn't great such as the skirt which makes her hips look wider.

The cape is wonderful and I love the colours of Mary's latest outfit, though I agree with other posters on the skirt. I don't think the skirt makes Mary's hips look wider than they actually are, but there's definitely something off about the stripes.
