The arrival photo shows three of the four women, Mary included, wearing black tights which must be the thing in Denmark. I agree with marg that they shouldn't be worn with pumps.
Besides, the outfit was fine, the dress a little short.

I know I am commenting late (on the opening of Parliament), but I love her look so much I just had to toss in my agreement! Her hair and hat just made her look like a fashion icon. Fabulous!

 I agree, it does give off a hippie vibe. Overall, it suits Mary and she looks elegant, although I'm not a huge fan of it myself as the black swirls make the whole pattern seem quite busy. I would also prefer it if all the patterns were black as I'm not sure how I feel about the colours and the black together. I'm also not too keen on her trousers as they're a little baggy for me and look a little awkward with her shoes.

Cute coat, perfect for a day with children and if something gets spilled on it, well you can not tell because of the pattern of the fabric............great for playing with children. She most always looks perfect in any occasion.

I don't like this outfit at all. Not only do I think it's sorta ugly, but the colors do nothing for her. They just wash her out.
The blue outfit she wore to the Opera was really nice.
