Quite right. The flemsy belt doesn't help the dress at all. A more fitting, wider belt would have been better. All-in-all though, not a great dress, I've seen much better from her.

It makes her look very thick around the waist, which she definately is not!

Totally agree, the dress hangs on her like a sack, it's much too wide. The length is also weird, kind of in between, not long, not short...

Don't like the print of the gown. Also, I don't think it flatters her.

Not a flattering choice at all, looks like a sack and colours are washy.

Wow! Totally disagree, the dress looks cool and fresh and soft and feminine. Very Mary in Summer and very approachable, perfect in fact for the occasion.
Now if she was set to sashay down a fashion show runway you might have a point!

I LOVE her shoes. The dress, not so much.

Dress is ok but don't like the hemline, or the large armholes. Pretty color and fabric and print.
Does make her look heavier which is hard to do

I like it...you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't...Mary wears short tightish clothes and is accused of being 'mutton dressed as lamb, how dare a 40 year old show of their body in that fashion'...But now she wears a looser, flowy and LONGER dress, she is accused of being frumpy and dressed in a sack...
My opinion is that I like the dress and the pattern reminds me of a tunic dress by Diane von Furstenberg that Mary wore during one of her pregnancies...I like how Mary mixes it up, keeps you guessing and polarises opinions...I think that particular length is very on trend at the moment...I have noticed all clothing in department stores going with the mid calf length...Win for me :)

For me too Have waited a long time for this more charitable length to appear! Nice to see Mary wearing it.

I am pretty sure too that the dress isnt new and was worn during one of Mary's pregnancies ... and it shows. It looks far too big, one shapeless frock.

She wore this dress last year in Australia. I like the pattern and length but shape is odd, looks too big on Mary. Nice shoes. Her hair are too light and seems to be dry.

It hasn't been worn during any of her pregnancies. It was seen during her visit to Australia a while back.

Maybe she was scared to add a belt because so many people are so particular about belts.

It's a pretty summer dress but I wouldn't wear it during official duties or at high-profile events. It looks rather casual to me. JMO
