I expected Maxima to be wearing a more lavish tiara last night but nevertheless she looked lovely. The gown is pretty and I do like the style but I think she looked washed out in it and almost blended in with the walls at the dinner table.

I generally don't care for the pale neutral tones but this works well with her hair and eyes. LOVE the updo with the tiara-she looks really nice!

The tiara is very nice and so is the hairdo.

I don't know why I don't like it. Maybe I don't like the tiara, or else it's the colors.
The dress and jacket are impeccable, wonderful jewels and love the brooch to close the jacket.

I think it is a button but it might be brooch,
like the whole look, colour, materials, design, hair, including her nail colour, very pretty.

I don't know if I like the satin jacket too much. I'd love to see the gown without it; beautiful fabric.

January 24, 2013 - Maxima in a purple one shoulder evening dress with a huge red/pink design on the waist which ruined the dress.

The bow is too big but I think the jewels are gorgeous as usual.

The big bow and too big hairdo makes this look very unfortunate for me. I´m not a big fan of the dress either, too brigh for my taste.

IMO, the dress and hair-do are very very Maxima - quite loud, but I am guessing she manages to carry them of in person.

I guess it is all right, I am glad her hair is sleek otherwise it would be a bit too copacabana.

Apart from the big red balloon-looking thing around her waist I think she looks stunning! I especially like the retro-ish hairstyle with the tiara-makes me think of some pictures I've seen from back in the 60's. I agree that only Maxima could pull this off.
