Today, May 15, the Duke of Gloucester visited Wardown House Museum and Gallery and St Mary's Church in Luton. And he paid a visit to Bedford School in Bedfordshire:

The Duke of Gloucester this morning took the salute at Bedford School and Bedford Modern School’s Combined Cadet Force Parade, De Parys Avenue, Bedford, to mark the Centenary of King George V’s visit, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire (Mrs Helen Nellis).

His Royal Highness today visited Wardown House Museum and Gallery, Old Bedford Road, Luton, and was received by Colonel Christopher Sharwood-Smith (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire).

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited St Mary’s Church, High Street, Eaton Bray, Dunstable, Luton, to mark its Eight Hundredth Anniversary.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited SATRA Technology Centre, Wyndham Way, Telford Way, Kettering, to mark their Centenary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire (Mr David Laing).

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended SATRA’s Centenary Luncheon near Kettering.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited the Police Northern Accommodation Block, Cherry Hall Road, Kettering.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon attended the Not Forgotten Association Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty.
The Band of the Royal Armoured Corps played selections of music during the afternoon.

Her Royal Highness, President, this evening attended a performance of The Cunning Little Vixen at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.

Yes they really have - a hard working but quiet couple. Im sure the Queen is very grateful for their unwavering and constant support even now as they get older. The couple never imagined this would be their life but they have embraced it and got on with the task in hand.

That is right. Richard was a trained architect, and was certainly not expecting to spend his life as a minor royal working to support the Queen. What is commendable is the way R&B have gone about carrying out their engagements, in support of the Crown, with grace and elan.

I have to admit I like all of HM's cousins (with one notable exception). R and B are really stalwart supporters and to be honest, saving Ill health I believe they will continue at the very least until they see the new king safely crowned.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning officially opened the restored East Wing at Highcliffe Castle, Rothesay Drive, Highcliffe, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset (Mr. Angus Campbell).

His Royal Highness afterwards opened the restored Zig-Zag Path at Highcliffe Castle.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon opened the renovated Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum, High West Street, Dorchester.

His Royal Highness later visited Dorset County Museum, High West Street, Dorchester.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards unveiled a commemorative plaque to Captain Gerald O'Sullivan VC at Rowan House, Prince of Wales Road, Dorchester.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at at BP this afternoon. Just seen them on tv with Prince Andrew and Prince Harry joining the other senior royals for the US State vist.


They were having a good look at the items on show with members of the US contingent.
