nice video altogether..
but IIRC, during the previous State visits, other than the royal who escorts the guest from hotel/airport, there used to be some other royals in the welcome line-up with the Queen..No one turned up today, other than Andrew, who appears to have escorted The Prez..

And somehow I dont like like BP/Horse Guards receptions and banquets..they are never are grand as the ones in Windsor Castle..JMO..

Edward was with them when they went around the royal collection in Buckingham Palace. I think it just depends if people are free or not.

Will there be a State Banquet tonight? If yes, who will attend?

Many thanks.

I would expect the State Banquet to be tonight. Most senior royals will attend.

I think Charles & Camilla wil be unable to join as they are already in India, or on their way there.

Thank you. Do you think The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend? Maybe The Queen have awarded The Duchess with the Royal Family Order.

They have been confirmed as not attending. RFO has not reportedly been awarded to Catherine.

I definitely do not think Catherine should get the RFO yet as she has not done enough to represent the Queen I feel. Others may of course feel differently.

So no Charles or Camilla this evening? That's a shame.

Of course others feel differently..That producing a direct heir is far more valuable 'service' than representing for a lifetime..

Apparently they are on their way to Inndddiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaa.. I think Camilla left already to be at some Ayurvedic Cure in Bangalore for a few days, waiting for Charles..

Personally I think it will be some time before Catherine gets her RFO. That said, Camilla had hers in less than 2 years.

The Royal Family Orders aren't traditionally announced so we won't really know if Catherine had received her Order until she turns up at an official function where the Order is worn. I'm guessing that she has received her Order or will receive it from The Queen when it's time for Catherine to attend an official function where it's required. She's the only one that's up for the Order at the moment.

The memorial was dedicated to British servicemen and women who served in the Korean War. The President unveiled a scale model of the memorial sculpture and then formally cut the turf. The Duke of Cambridge attended the ceremony, on behalf of The Queen-

It was said when it was announced that William would attend todays groundbreaking ceremoy that neither he nor The Duchess will attend any other parts of the state visit (including the State Dinner). Apparently they will not attend such events until they are 'full time' working royals.

I'm guessing William & Catherine are transitioning to full-time royal duties and will start attending these State Visits next year.
