I believe Zara Phillips is close with her cousins, Wm and Harry. I once read someplace that she's not that close w Beatrice & Eugenie. I don't know about the Queen's children, though. None of them seem particularly close imo. I know that when the York girls were younger they would visit HM on Sundays. I tend to think the Duke of E is close w the Princess Royal.

I don't know how close the members of the Royal Family are, in fact, I don't think anyone does except for them. But from pictures that I have seen and video footage of them gathered together, I get an idea of how much fun and love they have for each other. They live their own individual lives most of the year, but they remember their family and do their best to keep in touch. :flowers:

William and Henry are close to Peter and Zara

well they are closer in age to each other. Lady Louise and baby James are going to be a little lonely when they grow up and start to go out in the London club scene as by that time their cousins will be married and have children. there is a 30 years age gap between the eldest grandchild Peter and the youngest James

If Louise and James are anything like their parents they will be nowhere near London clubs. Besides the press will be too busy covering those royal divorces.

Ha! God, let's hope not. One generation was enough.

Does anyone know if Prince Charles has a good relationship with his siblings?

With The DoY Pretty good Anne Good Edward Better than

they all seem to get along when they have to...for the cameras...LOL I kid, I kid...

I do think most of them get along, but they probably have cliques...they all aren't close in age. I'm sure Bea and Eugenie are more on the out skirts with the older cousins because they are younger. And I'm sure the Queen makes an effort to talk with her grandchildren and children...but the grandchildren are probably hard to reign in for a visit.

I think that the pictures of the grandchildren going out for a casual dinner for Peter's 30th birthday shows they all get on. Zara, Wills and Bea were there with their partners. Made the news as Wills was suppose to be teasing Harry as he was on his own as just spilt from Harry and Bea went to Davina Murphy birthday party after with Kate Moss etc

well i think the yonger lot gets along fairly well..but the adults cant say

they always seem so cold...

Yes the British Royal family does do things together but you need to remember they are British they do not all ways show there affection the way most people do.

He seems to have a wonderful relationship with Anne but I think like many older siblings (there is a big age difference) he is perhaps a little distant from Edward. I should imagine when they all get together in private, (not occasions the public would be privy to), they are just like many families.

William and interaction with family

I was just wondereing what people around here have seen, noticed, read, or heard about Williams relationships with his family of the British Royal Family. I am not talking about his father, brother, or mother. I am talking about other family such as:

The Queen, Prince Phillip, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward (and Sophie), Princess Anne, The Queen Mother, Princess Alice, Princess Alexandra, his cousins (Peter, Zara, Beatrice, Eugenie, Louise, and James), and others like the Glouchesters, Kents, Prince Michael and family, Viscount Linley and family, the Lascelles, and the Harewoods.

Just wondering what all you people thought :flowers:

Prince Andrew mentioned in an interview about talking to William about flying. So there seems to be some rapport there.:)

I read a story in a newspaper that William used to look up to Peter Phillips because he thought he was cool, with a leather jacked and rode a motorcycle. I also read that he got on really well with Zara. I don't remember where I read it, though.

Ive read that in books also Viscount Linley

I remember reading awhile back about Charles getting very angry at Edward because his film company was filming William at school or something. I wonder if William got angry about it too and still holds a grudge because I never see pictures of him interacting with Edward or Sophie when the family is together (Trooping Color, church service, etc.). Does anyone know?

The film was gone through, and there was no footage of William on it. The company was filming footage around St. Andrews, but not William specificially.:flowers:

Then I wonder why Charles reportedly got so angry with Edward.

..... because the filming was against the deal struck with the media at large, and considered an invasion of W's privacy.

Wasn't the deal, though, not to film William? What if a documentary maker wanted to do some film in St. Andrews that had absolutely nothing to do with William? St. Andrews must have some interesting points besides the fact that William went to university there.:flowers:

:) Here's an old article about it; I'd read too that he was mad at the time, but I doubt he'd still be angry- it was a long time ago.

Here's what the film he took turned into - it was supposedly shown outside of England, but I never saw it.

Yeah at the time, I heard William was angry. But he should be over it now, I have seen pictures and video of Prince William talking and laughing with Edward and Sophie. I think there was video of William talking with Edward and Sophie at the 2008 Sandringham walk to church.

I guess I missed that video. I'm glad he gets along with them as Edward & Sophie seem like nice people.

Yeah they seem nice, especially Sophie. I am sure they are good now.

I think William and Anne have a good relationship, as everytime they are seen together they are talking and laughing, and obviously Peter, Zara, Harry, and William are all great together. I recently read a book about Prince William where he talked about going to Gatcombe when he was at Highgrove to ride horses with her, also there was an interview in there with a man who was escort at a Welsh rugby game with Charles, William, and Tim Laurence and the guy said William and Time spent most of the game talking with each other.

It's nice to think that the Queen's children are close, and I'd bet that the age difference isn't as big a deal now that everyone's older. Imagine what it must be like after one of those state dinners with just the 4 of them sitting around the table having a chat about anything and everything! I'd love to know what they all thought of the movie "The Queen"! Did the family have a private screening?!!

The Queen made the decision not to watch it and as the Duke of Edinburgh, Sophie and Edward make up the video nights at the palace. I fell they would have followed suit. However one of the four recent requested the new Borat movie, so maybe not.
The other royals might have.

The only article I can find that gives any mention of HM & the film The Queen, is the Telegraph, that says Martin Sheen -
hinted that the monarch and the former prime minister had decided it would be indelicate for either of them to see it
I can find nothing to suggest that Edward & Sophie are the only guests at any viewing of DVDs at Windsor or Balmoral, nothing also to corroborate a request for Borat.
