Princess Alexandra this afternoon attended a Reception to mark the Centenary of the Royal Air Force at Horse Guards Parade.

The Queen was present at a Service in Westminster Abbey this morning to celebrate the Centenary of the Royal Air Force and was received at the Great West Gate by the Dean (the Very Reverend Dr John Hall) and, at the Great West Door, by the Chapter, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Chaplain-in-Chief, Royal Air Force (the Venerable Jonathan Chaffey) and the Chief of the Air Staff (Air Chief Marshal
Sir Stephen Hillier).
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, The Duke of York, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were also present.

Princess Alexandra, President, British School at Rome, this afternoon received Mr. Timothy Llewellyn upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Professor Stephen Milner upon assuming his appointment as Director.

Her Royal Highness, formerly Patron, CCHF All About Kids (now merged with the Outward Bound Trust), received the Earl of Arran upon relinquishing his appointment as President.

Princess Alexandra, Grand President, Royal British Legion Scotland Women's Section, received Lady Ross upon relinquishing her appointment as National President and Ms. Raina Haig upon assuming the appointment.

Yesterday, July 31, Princess Alexandra was in Cornwall. She visited Norton Barton Artisan Food Village, Launcells, Bude, the Davidstow Airfield and Cornwall at War Museum in Camelford and Camelford Libary:

Oh okay, thank you. I'll edit the post - perhaps a mod can move it to an Ogilvy thread (not sure if there is one)? The caption just described the photo as "the Kents" so I made a guess that it was Duke and Duchess as a younger family.

Princess Alexandra will be an absentee from the Royal Wedding today. The 81-year-old Princess, one of the Queen’s cousins, has broken her arm and has been told to rest on medical advice.
