Her mother Isabel , Duchess of Clarence died in 1476 and her father George, Duke of Clarence in 1478. Lady Margaret only surviving sibling her brother Edward , 17th Earl of Warwick was later executed in 1499 by Henry VII on charges on treason.

Cecily was the third surviving daughter of Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville and lived through the reigns of Edwatd IV,Richard III and Henry VII.
In 1487 she was married to Ralph Scrope but this was later annulled and later to John Welles, 1st Viscount Welles who was a half brother of Lady Margaret Beaufort.
Cecily died at East Standen in the Isle of Wight and was buried at
Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight.
