The Countess was buried at the Church of the Annunciation of Our Lady of the Newarke in Leicester. The church which had links to the Lancastrian dynasty survived until 1548 when the church was torn down during the reformation and her burial was not preserved.
In 1935 the site was excavated and coffins were discovered but it was never revealed if Mary's was found or identified.

Joan was born at the Tower of London her mother was Isabella de France the infamous She-Wolf of France .

Queen Isabella siezed power 5 years after Joan's birth and rule England as Regent having deposed and imprisoned Edward II who later died or was murdered.
 
6 July 1553 : Death of Edward VI ,king of England 1547 -1553

Edward was the son of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour ,he succeeded his father in 1547 but his reign was marred by instability, unrest and rebellions.
He became sickly in the early summer of 1553 and attempted to exclude both his half sisters in favour of the Lady Jane Grey.

The king was given a Protestant Funeral Service by order of Queen Mary and it was officiated over by Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury.
The Queen did not attend but had a Latin Requim Mass celebrated at her chapel.

I read that some claimed that Duke of Northumberland had forged the king's signature on the document

Archbishop Cranmer was deprived in September 1553 and went to the stake on the 21st of March 1556.

The Summer Queen of Scots who arrived at Leith on Whitsun-Eve/May 19th 1537 and died on July 7th .

The queen was buried at Holyrood Abbey in Edinburgh.

James V went onto marry another French Princess ,Marie de Guise.

The queen was buried at was Cambuskenneth Abbey in Stirlingshire and James III was buried along side her in 1488. The abbey was ransacked by Calvinists in 1560 and decoration including tombs were destroyed . The buildings later fell into disuse and used as a quarry.

In the 19th century the burial vault was rediscovered and a new monument was erected over the site.

Joan remarried after the death of James I in 1337 and had acted as Regent for her son James II which caused conflict.
Following her death at Dunbar Castle the dowager queen was buried at the Carthusian Priory at Perth which was pillaged and turn down by Calvinists in 1560.
Nothing has survived of her burial.
