Lovely to see Princess Anne accompany Queen Elizabeth to the Satellite Centre and The Children's Wood and Skypark in Glasgow, Scotland. The photos and esp the videos were most enjoyable.

I agree, they should do more together.

Either Sophie really likes animals, or they really like her.

Alexandra is just amazingly consistent with her style game. How many decades has it been?

It was lovely to see Princess Alexandra and Sophie The Countess of Wessex out together. Two of my favorite royals.
Princess Alexandra has stepped down as Patron of the charity Guide Dogs, after more than sixty years in the role. During the visit, Princess Alexandra handed over the Patronage of Guide Dogs, which she has held since 1957, to The Countess of Wessex. Guide Dogs is a founding member of the International Guide Dogs Federation.

The countess would make an excellent future President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. It's such an important position.

I would prefer to see a military person take it on - and Tim Laurence would be perfect having been working with the CWG for some time. He served in the navy for about 30+ years and was 'mentioned in despatches' for actions (the same award Prince Philip had for the Battle of Cape Matapan).

Sophie was there as patron of the Java POW's patron. I haven't seen anything about the changing of the CWGC patron.
It would be nice for Adm. Laurence but I think he would pass on that.

Yes he'd be very suitable as well of course.

I remember at the centenary of Passchendaele that the Duchess of Cambridge greeted him with a cheery "hello Tim". You can see it here at 05.36. He was there as vice chair of the CWG.
