Harry and Meghan will be at Sandringham House for Christmas, but I’m sure they will pop over to the Cambridge’s during the festivities too. One thing I know many families do, during Christmas, is hop over to different houses to visit family during the holidays. That’s the fun part.

William and Catherine will be at Sandringham House too. They likely will have two Christmas trees; one at the big house and one at Anmer.

Also, Doria and Meghan could be having an early Christmas celebration while Meghan is in the states.

Why would they mind?
William wasn’t there for Christmas when they got engaged, so of course Catherine didn’t go alone.
Sophie and Edward announced their engagement on 6th January 1999 and married on 19th June 1999, so were never officially engaged for Christmas.

The Cambridge’s and Middleton family didn’t attend church with the royal family last year, because they decided to go the church Pippa and James were due to get married in.

The Cambridge’s used to alternate between the families for Christmas. That changed now that the Cambridge family have Anmer Hall on the Sandringham estate.

Not to mention easier for Carol and Michael to go to them instead of them dragging the kids out.

That too.

I like that the Cambridge’s have Anmer. Now there’s more freed up space in the big house for the family for Christmas. Remember, there was more room for the extended family at Windsor than Sandringham.

Nice to see Meghan will be joining the holiday. It seems likely reason she has been in the US recently. Probably celebrating with her mom, dad and friends. I don't see Doria joining them at Sandringham at least until marriage. And even then may be a bit odd. Unless Harry and Meghan get a home on the property as their country home.

I agree that she will most likely be at the main house. I don't see them joining the Cambridges at Anmer hall. I have no doubt they will go over and visit, but not staying there. The Middletons and Mathews will likely be there for parts of it. I would have said they could stay at Wood farm with Charles, as he usually stays there and the main house is crowded, but isn't Philip staying there now?

The papers making tooo much of these supposed 'rules'. Even the royal family can modernize with time.

That makes sense.

I don't feel sorry for Margaret or David. But this is not the right thread for that discussion.

I don't quite get this comment. David aside (very different situation), "Poor Margaret" was never threatened with being exiled or cut off from the family. She would simply have attended as the Queen's sister, Mrs Townsend, not as Princess Margaret. It was her choice not to marry him.

But the idea that only the purest of family members should be allowed into the hallowed halls of Sandringham at Christmas is a bit much. Plenty of divorcees have visited Sandringham for the Christmas season. As well as a few other colourful royals. The idea that there would be some kind of judgement made on personal decency before an invitation is issued to eat a bit of turkey is very strange IMO.

Meghan looks amazing and it is so nice seeing Harry in his own car driving his future wife.

Three wheeling officially over.

Best pictures I have seen so far:
