Thanks for your great work.

FYI, typo for Camilla & Edward. The numbers don't add up.

Thanks for the pick - I have edited the numbers.

Weekly update to 31st October

Another busy week - 109 engagements in total with 18 of them in one day by The Queen and Philip on Thursday. Another interesting point - Michael attended a reception this week without his wife adding one to his numbers. Normally they attend these things together. The other point was that Andrew made a one day visit to Canada - had engagements in the UK either side of one in Canada to do with his old school there.

HM The Queen - 306 (287 - up 19)
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh - 148 (134 - up 14)

Princess Beatrice Events tally 2013

So, I noticed people tend to make a tally of events for the royals and now I did one for Princess Beatrice for the year 2013 when she went to dinner galas, royal events, weddings etc. I hope I didn’t miss anything. The problem with a list of events like this - that includes official and unofficial is that it relies on press coverage to have the list complete and there are bound to be events Beatrice attended that aren't reported in the press - just as there are official engagements for many of the royals that aren't included.

Beatrice has been mentioned 8 times in the Court Circular so those are known events that she has attended.

Your list has her at Ascot on two days - fine - the big 5 day meeting in June and again recently - but we don't know how many other times she has been to the races (just as we don't know every time The Queen goes to the races - we only know when it is reported or listed in the CC).

This current events thread contains every time we see Beatrice out and about and 99% are unofficial. She's usually with family or her sister therefore it goes in the joint thread :) if people want to know when/where she's been, they can just scoot through the pages.

Iluvbertie created a thread which contains the official tally and we have the current events thread for other accounts.

Weekly update to 7th November

A busy week with 116 engagements between the family. Like last week a one day visit to Canada - by Edward and Sophie this time. Pretty well every major royal did something this week - just the 'usual suspects' not in the CC - Beatrice, Eugenie, Duchess of Kent, Prince and Princess Michael. All the others were out and about, even Tim with his attendance at the State Banquet. Philip highly visible and The Queen her usual self with lots of 'received's' and an audience and council to add to her engagements.

Thanks for your great work.

Any thoughts on next year adding William and Catherine to the "Year to date total percentages"?

Thanks again

Iluvbertie Thanks for your great work. Any thoughts on next year adding William and Catherine to the "Year to date total percentages"? Thanks again

Collectively the two of them make up for less than 3% of the percentage right now; William is 1.2% and Catherine is 1.06%. Harry is at 1.7%.

Bertie, I really appreciate that you do this and if you want to continue doing so, I'll continue to appreciate it.

I agree with Ish. If you are happy to continue I will continue to enjoy your weekly updates.

I love the work you put into this thread - please continue if you are able to do so.

The most important thing is if you want to continue to do this. We all come here for various reasons because we want to. For the past two years you have kept a meticulous count of the BRF, their activities and engagements as it pertains to the Court Circular, and to be honest, I find it fascinating and think this thread is one of the best assets of all the threads on the British Royal Family.

I've found myself referring to this tally quite a few times since you started it.

Thanks for all your hard work that goes into this.

I will be doing it for my own enjoyment - as in I will keep the tally - did so before I started reporting it here so will continue to do so.

Iluvbertie

This is one of the best aspects of this forum - so please continue (as you seem to want to).

Many thanks

My update this week will be delayed as the British monarchy site and the other site I use haven't updated for November 21st.

Weekly update to 28th November

A slower week this week. Most of the family were out and about at least once although Andrew has had his second week of no recorded engagements. Going back the same fortnight last year he did 12 engagements. His last engagements were the ones he did overseas in early November when he went to Afghanistan and then to Abu Dhabi for a Conference and Exhibition on 11th November. Harry, of course, is on his trek.

I think that "+Artic trek" should be added to Harry's engagements at the end of the year. It is for charity, after all.

If it isn't in the CC it doesn't count - Beatrice has done a lot of charity stuff that doesn't make it into the CC so if I can't count hers because The Queen doesn't think are 'official' then I can't count Harry's actual trek - I have include the farewell from BP as that was in the CC. Simple rule - in the CC it counts, not in the CC it doesn't.

When he was on one of his overseas jaunts earlier this year he did official engagements on two of the three days but The Queen didn't include the charity related events on the second day as 'official' so no count - same with a lot of the polo they play for charity - some does and some doesn't count.
