Palace Soestdijk, Baarn

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Queen Juliana sold it to the state in 1970 as she was unable to afford the upkeep of the palace.

The real problem was how on earth the present owners were able to buy it from the state and were able to ram this plan through. Thankfully they were stopped by the counsil of state.

The palace should never have been sold to private hands. But now that it has, what is the next step? I believe the state sold if with the restauration obligation. Can it undo the sale when the present owners stick to their end of it? Can the owners simply sell it on? The sum they bought it for seems laughable. Will the present owners appeal?

What a soap opera this has become. Absolutely shameful the way the government/ parlament has handled this.
