I think the nasty blonde was suppose to be representing people who'd said those type of things and had issue with the Prince dating a 'commoner' - I don't think she was someone specific just a generalization

I watched the movie last night and it would be very hard to know what was real and what was made up if you haven't been following the royal romance for the last 8 years. I found a lot of it kinda sappy.

LOL it was so bad it was good! As it's a biopic you know that it's going to be full of made up situations and innuendo. But this one took the cake.
Each time something happened that was so off the wall, the group of friends I watched with fell out into laughter. William singing a "take me back I've been a loser song" in public??? Again priceless.
Loved the bit where Kate stormed out of Buckingham Palace (i think) at Williams birthday party. As she ran down the stairway I was totally expecting her to lose her shoe ala Cinderella!

Well, its storming in the DC area and my directtv went out. So I watched it again via my DVR.
How about I was talking to Elspeth (a former TRF Admin for the newcomers to TRF) on IM and I was like....hold on...my favorite part is on. She was like what are you talking about?!
Kate yells STOP THE CAR! When she and "William" are having a discussion/fight about William needing a break. And then gets out of the car in the middle of London at night?! I presume to call a friend or catch a bus.
I don't know why but that cracks me up.

Watched the rebroadcast of the movie tonight and it sure had its moments where you wonder what the heck the screenwriters were thinking. The funniest part for me I think was when Wills was about ready to jump in the lake and of course... the POs were gonna follow their liege and lord into the brine.
All I know is if Will and Kate had a nice quite weekend and perhaps watched this fiasco, they'll be laughing from now until Friday for sure!

I have to add that although the film doesn't seem to be getting anywhere in terms of a potentially good story line and acting,as well as showing scenes quite out of proportion and reality ,it showed up a few good scenes as well, for example the snobbery Kate would have met during her period of a royal girlfriend and the end was rather romantic.

I cracked up at that part too. But what really cemented the stupidity of that scene was when they had Kate jump off a row boat fully clothed into the water and swim up to him instead of simply rowing the boat to the dock. Pure silliness.

Mr. Remote is still on that tattoo thing. LOL
Yes, that Margaret came across as a royal snob to end all snobs. The poetic license in the film is what made it so laughable. All I could think of in the dock scene is my mom telling me "if all your friends jump off a cliff.. do you follow?" and Wills PO's thining "I'm gonna need overtime for this one".
For the bazillion of people that watched the movie though, I think they got the main gist of the relationship between Will and Kate and the years it was in the making.

It was okay. Interesting distraction. I kept wondering if Wills and Kate would ever watch it and what they'd think?

The timeline of this movie is SO off. When William is sitting in his base at the RAF reading the mags and seeing Kate having fun it's dated June 2008 when in reality William and Kate broke up in 2007 and he reportedly did it over the phone by 2008 they were back together. Actually they were back together by September 2007 member those pics at the club of Wills and Kate and Kate with that ring? The one where a press complaint was filed that they were chased as they left the club. And as for Carole hello could they not give the woman a wig I don't ever remember Carole having long hair like that. Also if they were trying to go down the line of 2008- 2010 they missed the fact she quit Jigsaw due to press harassment.

This is showing on Network Ten in Australia tonight at 8.30pm. I have already told my husband I have to see this. By the sound of the comments it is so bad it will be compulsory viewing.
I am looking forward to cringing at the dialogue and rolling my eyes at the timeline.

What is getting to me now is the "poetic license" parts of the movie are coming back to haunt me. Mr. Remote (who I actually thought would leave the room during this movie) keeps making quips like "OK.. so they're having a big party at the palace that night? Is that where that tattoo comes into play?" and stuff like that. The man is actually getting somewhat interested in all of this but right now I'm not sure he's gonna be a welcome viewing partner or a hindrance during the wedding itself.

Lifetime has posted the entire movie online for those who want to laugh at how bad it is Don't know it can be seen by those outside the USA because it still might need to air on TV in other places.

I'm about 20 minutes in and I just realized that typical Southern California, French/Italian/Mediterranean-ish villa mansion is supposed to be Highgrove? They could find stock footage of Highgrove or found at least a more English-looking mansion for exterior shots? It has cypress trees!!!!

Saw it today. It was cute. Terrible acting (especially the actors playing Kate's parents...... be ashamed), cheesy moments and some scenes were rather low budget. (The proposal scene. Aswell as some of the clothes. The hat with the red coat? eww)
Ohh, and the break-up scene had me fist pumping a little bit. Until she started off crying in bed and whatnot. I'd (pretend) screw every good-looking guy. That is revenge. But that's just me.

They gonna show it on German TV tonight - but I heard negative critics. To be honest, I am not gonna watch it as I can't think it is a good movie...

You also gotta love the narration of the tabloid headlines in the background: "Clarence House confirms Kate Middleton as William's girlfriend." The only think Clarence House ever said during their courtship was "We do not comment on Prince William's private life."
