I'm really enjoying the series but there are a few big mistakes that make me a cringe a little. The biggest error I've noticed was in the last episode when the character they're calling 'the Grand Duke' (the future Alexander II of Russia) said he was being forced to marry a Danish girl. Well, the real life Alexander II married Marie of Hesse and By Rhine of course so I think they got the wrong Tsar. Which is a bit sloppy and lazy. But otherwise, it's a pleasant enough watch.

Everyone is talking about this series atm. Mostly wishing that history could be changed and that Queen Victoria could have married Lord M!

I've been trying so hard to be good and to not watch this until it airs in the US because I want to watch it at the same time as my friends but it's tough- it looks great.
But I'll probably appreciate it even more in front of a roaring fire during the January snow :)

Albert is such a dull, stiff guy. Has no charisma and zero chemistry with Jenna Coleman/Victoria.

IMDB lists 17 locations Victoria (TV Mini-Series 2016) - Filming Locations - IMDb.
But Castle Howard and Harewood House seem to be featured.

The Harewoods, of course, are cousins of the Queen through their mother Princess Mary who was Princess Royal before Anne.

I really like the series. Jenna Coleman is very pretty woman, and actor playing Lord M. is handsome and plays his role perfectly. I like V&M chemistry. I don't really see this kind of chemistry between Victoria and Albert.
I also like theme song, very haunting.

I must say, I'm pretty stunned at how successful this series has been. I expected it to be thoroughly trampled by Poldark which is on BBC1 at the same time but it's really held its own.
I've found friends and colleagues talking about it, despite being uninterested in royalty generally. It's not 100% faithful to the historical reality, of course, but then it's never claimed to be.

I have seen the first episode as a start of bingewatching but I am not impressed. It came nowhere close to the quality of Mrs Brown or the mise-en-scene of Downton Abbey.
I saw factual errors, the crown used for the Coronation looks like the one you can buy in the carnival shop. The characters of Kent, Conroy and Sussex are more sketchy than really worked-out.
I will see the second episode tonight. I hope it will be improved otherwise I will start for another series to bingewatch. That series War & Peace was a huge let-down as well. The French series Versailles is still awaiting for me.
