You are so lucky! I need to wait for people to put episode 2 on YouTube so i can see it :ermm: I read that it will officially start showing on the USA on August 10th .

It will be broadcast on Starz starting the 10th August.

I do quite like the character of Jacquetta of Luxembourg,I've always found her a highly interesting historical lady.

I absolutely love Jacquetta! She made me laugh when she talking to Edward's mother, Cecily. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I adore Jacquetta's Leia's buns, her hairstyle was adorable.

Yes that was funny, but I'm sure that in reality Jacquetta wouldn't have dared to cross paths with Cecily of York!

Its odd how the keep addressing her Duchess Cecily instead of 'my lady' as I'm sure she would have been addressed?

Guess she could.Cause Jaquetta was from Luxembourg Royal house with royal anchestor ( English Royal also).

She knew how to behave at the court, when keep her mouth silence and when to push and save the situation.

I have yet to see the second episode, i'm hoping that by some miracle somebody puts it on youtube or something.

The 3rd episode was slightly better but still disappointing and again all over the place, hard to follow the Warwick/Clarence rebellion/meeting of Parliament ,peace and rebellion plots all in one episode.

Anybody watching the white queen

Have to say is it ok but nothing special, it is going through the history very quickly and the magic element is stupid. War of the Roses portrayed fairly well but a little too brief

IMO creators made a big mistake including into 10-episodes movie whole 3 books. White Queen, Red Queen, and Kingmaker's Daughter. I've read WQ and RQ. and can hear whole dialogues from the books. But it seems there was not any screen text. Just some pieces from book's text. Yes all 3 books are about the same events. But could someone explain me how is possible to receive whole text from three different books about 3 absolutely different women???????

It's already on youtube! 2 episodes ! maybe already they put 3rd

Really?? All i see is clips of the second episode. I can't wait until it comes on Starz this August.

Sadly it's a mini series and only has 10 episodes, i think that they feel the need to rush it up or something.

I thought that the series was mainly focus on Elizabeth, didn't think much about the other two TBH. But the Red Queen does interest me, i think that they will probably cut out parts from the book on the series. I agree that it was a mistake to make it into a mini series in the first place

They were. 1 week ago I've seen 2 episodes on youtube And watch them from the beggining to the end. Now only trailers..... I'm afraid it's removed((((((((((((((((

The magic element is actually one part that is quite historically accurate; both Elizabeth Woodville and her mother, Jaquetta of Luxembourg, were reputed to practice witchcraft.

Jaquetta was even brought to trial for it at one point (though was cleared).

I'd say that review sums it up quite well.
Episode 4 was hard to follow, it incorporated chewing-the-scenery melodrama and high camp, although on the plus side the tension at times of danger was ominous and palpable. The series is too complex to be a romp, but watchable nonetheless.

Yes I agree it was hard to follow, even though I've started to re-read a biography of Elizabeth Woodville to help fill in some of the blanks.

The series has begun to grow on me. The spin -off documentaries ( see link above) really helps although the latest episode contained spoilers for those of us who aren't too familiar with what happened to some individuals.

I must admit the series has improved and picked up a bit after a shaky few episodes, plus we got a battle at long last!

I'm completely gripped. As drama it is extremely good & very tense. The sense of claustrophobia, and backbiting amongst the women of the court is tangible, and it is beautifully shot.
Some things really grate tho', such as the 17th century chairs , {which i notice because i'm a history of furniture specialist}. Other people won't notice or mind !

All in all its a lovely bit of escapism for Sunday night !

So far, my favourite character in the series is Margareth Beaufort.
Amanda Hale is doing an awesome job. Amazing woman!:flowers:

I don't know about anyone else but the actress who plays Lady Margaret Beaufort reminds me of Alanis Morissette.

One thing which has struck me as odd is the lack of any high ranking clergy at the Court,no Archbishop of York or Bishop of Lincoln both of whom were Lord Chancellors under Edward IV.

The lack of head dresses on the the Neville sisters and Lady Margaret Beaufort are also out of place.

Anne Neville and her mother in law could easily give Catherine de Médicis a run for her money :D

I keep seeing her in Victorian dress, when she plays the wife on Ripper Street!

Only 2 more episodes left, hard to believe as so much has happened (and didn't happen),overall its been disappointing. I've never read any of the Philippa Gregory novels and this series will not spur me to run out and buy them.

I wonder if they'll continue filming with The Red Queen, The White Princess, etc.
