I read an article about the show and it said the Princely family are featured quite a lot in it so it should be interesting.

Thanks for the above info regarding the new documentary series. However, it seems the i-player is only available to viewers within the UK. Any other suggestions as to where we outside the UK will be able to see this?

Inside Monaco: Playground of the Rich
I've just watched episode one, and it heavily features on Albert and Charlene around the time of the Monaco Grand Prix last year.
Albert and Charlene have totally different accents to what I expected but they're very charming.
It's a BBC2 programme and there will be 3 episodes, here's the UK link and some articles.

I am always a little jolted by how American Albert is...his accent, his mannerisms, his apparent preference for informality.
Then without warning he launches into perfect French, saluting, bowing or kissing a lady's hand.
In other words the perfect Continental Prince.

Me too. Totally jarred the first time I heard him do it. He sounds like a totally normal American guy.
But he is, justifiably, both. We're just not used to hearing royalty speak "American", is all. The native classy French makes it stranger.
I bet Albert himself must feel like two different people depending on what he speaks.

Saw the 1st 2, of 3 episodes of the BBC MONACO documentary, which I really enjoyed. Interesting to see Princess Stephanie's younger daughter speaking on camera.
Princess Caroline now has 6 grandsons, and one granddaughter. Imagine!

Yes, I'm interested to see the final part tomorrow. It's been interesting to see how the Palace and some the institutions like the Casino function in the background.

Just watched the next part. It's very interesting - I've enjoyed hearing from some of the people who aren't rich about living and working in Monaco. It might have been nice to have even more than that. I also enjoyed seeing the clever use of space in the €1300 a month studio apartment.
It was also nice to hear a bit from Caroline about why she thinks culture is important. She can be proud of her achievements with the ballet company.
