With this movie being made to fit into a time slot of running basically for an hour and a half (need to insert time slots for those ever present commercials), the focus is going to be primarily on Harry and Meghan themselves and the events leading up to the engagement.

I would expect that Doria will be cast as a non speaking part shown only at her Invictus Games appearance and the rest of Meghan's family omitted totally from the film as Harry, up until now, really hasn't had any interactions with them other than with Doria.

Wait until that Lifetime movie about Harry and Meghan's romance and see how Sam and the Markles deal with any portrayal of them. Sam will definitely will come out swinging claiming it's not true (if shoe in a bad light). But just like a book or article, she would have to prove in court what was shown in the movie is false and it defamed her. If you don't sue, then presume it's true. And she can get a lawyer for free in the US system.

Doubt there will be an appearance by someone playing Samantha. It's a short movie, and there is a lot we can cover without her. They'll likely just show Meghan and Harry's reaction to the tabloid interviews.

Non speaking part for Doria? Are we not expecting them to show the first Harry/Doria meeting or more importantly, Meghan confiding in her mom, as she makes some of the biggest decisions of her life? I know it's a Lifetime movie but I'd hope at least one scene of the latter.

They will need to include scenes of her life in order to show character development. Meghan seems to have been close to both parents, but it's not as likely that she would be confiding on matters of the heart with her dad, who lives in another country.

Frederik and Mary's movie was hard for me, the guy who they cast as Frederik was so physically unappealing that I couldn't get passed it.

Wait there was a Frederik and Mary one? Was it the Prince and Me? Or was there one with them as themselves?

However, an Italian magazine (Chi) published the famous pool pics (which are enough for me), and there's also a photo of Meghan cupping Harry's face in her hands and giving him a smooch on the lips. Harry's back is to the camera and it was taken with a long lens so it's not super sharp, but the expression on the face of one of Harry's friends as he looks on says it all: Pure delight for Harry having found someone special.

I've seen all that, but I want to see the balcony picture. From what Lainey reported (it was circulated in the industry, just not published), it was like out of a movie.

And yes, I'm semi joking about wanting to see the balcony picture. I understand that was private moment on what was a private location for those three days.

I also know someone who has seen the casting call for Doria, which describes her as a woman who "has seen it all and has struggled through adversity" and "proud and protective towards her beloved daughter." Definitely sounds like she is going to have a notable role in the movie.

I like the actors who were cast in this, Parisa is an actress who I've seen work from, as for the actor who plays Harry, doesn't look like Harry ...well at least not in comparison to Parisa and Meghan, but he is a looker and is actually British.

Pretty spot on casting for Meghan though. And I have seen the actress on a few shows now, she is pretty good. Hmmm...this movie may not be so cringey after all.

I haven't seen anywhere a discussion about planned biopics on the Harry & Meghan romance. If it's being discussed elsewhere I haven't been able to find it.

I read in US magazine that Gal Gadot and Alexander Skarsgard have been cast for a British film on M&H romance. While Gal Gadot is a striking brunette beauty with dark brown eyes, and she's a fine actress, I'm not sure she's exactly right to play Meghan. I believe she's taller, her nose is not exactly the right shape and she has a pale ivory skin tone. She's Israeli, and I haven't heard of her being ethnically 'mixed' or 'bi-racial.' Gadot does have freckles that are visible when she's not wearing makeup.

In the U.S., Lifetime network has cast an ethnically diverse actress to portray a separate M&H romance with Scotland's Murray Fraser cast as Harry.

American-Jamaican Parisa Fitz-Henley has been cast as Meghan in the Lifetime movie:

The wig that the Meg lookalike is using looks like a wig and not natural in any way, I don't understand why they wouldn't let Parisa use her own hair and just gice her extension, it's not like Meghan's hair is black, in fact it's dark brown.

Also there is a picture of Kate lookalike on a other website and she has black hair and not off black either but like 1b, it's really dark and a big contrast to the actor's skin tone.

Obviously I'm nitpicking considering this is one of the best casting Lifetime has done when doing movies based on real people.

Also why have they cast Diana? I don't remember her featuring in the W&K movie. I thought this movie was going to chronicle H&M's courtship. Are they going to include dream sequences now?

They have the pictures of the actresses playing Diana and the queen in the movie. The actress playing HM looks like an exaggeration. I can't wait for the casting of Samantha in this movie. If Sam is the designated villian in this movie she'll threaten to sue the production company and Lifetime for defamation. Sam would have to prove it's not true; and Lifetime can leak to major US press every ugly story about Sam to prove their portrayal of her is accurate. Condemn Sam in the court of public opinion and hurt Sam's ability to make money. Or keep her or the troublesome part of the Markles out of the movie and Sam complains she's airbrushed out of Meghan's life story. Either is not a good look for Sam.

Diana was in the W&K movie in the way of videos. William was obsessed with her final interview and it was heavily featured in the movie.

From what I gathered with this movie is they will focus a bit on their life prior to meeting. Showing the steps that got them on the blind date and then it will shift to focusing on them. They cast a little girl to play young Meghan so I assume they did the same for Harry which probably why there is a Diana.

That wig is awful. I assume it is because the actresses hair is very curly and they didn't want to use her natural hair (maybe can't contractually) but they could have got a better wig than that. Sheesh.
