It's a two part tv-mini series that is highly fictionalized (it was said "it is not based on facts but on what might have happened") and I don't think it received favorable reviews at the time.

The same director did other such mini-series, the most well-known probably being 'the prince and the girl' (about Friso & Mabel). Wasn't impressed by any of them.
