The World Childhood Foundation currently has five active projects in Ukraine. Queen Silvia sent a greeting today to draw attention to the work of protecting children in Ukraine.
The Queen is the founder and honorary chairman of the World Childhood Foundation. The organization supports projects around the world and has worked in Ukraine for over 18 years. Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Childhood has intensified efforts in the country to strengthen children's security and protection.

She viewed the foundation's most recent initiative, the future Childhood-Haus Frankfurt, and attended a donation get-together.

When Madeleine turned 40, she had a boat trip planned with the aim of collecting money and gifts for the World Childhood Foundation. The boat trip was planned to take place on August 14. According to information, the tickets for an exclusive boat ride that would start at Strandvägen cost SEK 7,000 each.
But now a decision has been made to cancel the boat trip. The court confirms this to Svensk Damtidning.
"The "Sensommarkväll med Childhood” event, which was planned for August 14 in favor of the World Childhood Foundation, has been moved forward to next year. After careful consideration, it was decided to move the event to next year as many were prevented from participating this year", writes the court's information department to Svensk Damtidning.

Founder of the World Childhood Foundation, Queen Silvia of Sweden will be in Vitória da Conquista, in the southwest of Bahia, on Tuesday November 8, to learn about the functioning of the Protected Listening Complex (CEP) implemented by the City Hall in partnership with Childhood Brasil.
The Queen will arrive in Vitória da Conquista at 10 am on Tuesday and will be received by Mayor Sheila Lemos.

Svensk Damtidning about that at the court's official calendar, Madeleine was also listed as a participant, as of today.
But when the Queen arrived at the newly opened Complexo de Escuta Protegida, Madeleine was unexpectedly missing. Instead, the King arrived with the queen.
What happened? Has Madeleine's flight been canceled or have the children become ill? Neither, it turns out. When Svensk Damtidning contacts Margareta Thorgren, she downplays the drama:
- Princess Madeleine joins tomorrow, she says.
Was this planned – or has the princess been delayed a day?
- No, it is according to plan.
The activities at the newly opened Complexo de Escuta Protegida are supported by Childhood and are similar to those carried out at the celebrated so-called Barnhausen: They receive abused children who receive help and support.

Queen Silvia spoke today at “16th Annual Meeting Na Mão Certa”. To combat the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESCA) by the Na Mão Certa Program, is an initiative of Childhood Brazil, and its partners.

The benefit event took place on Thursday night in São Paulo, and proceeds will be donated to Childhood Brasil to protect children and adolescents from sexual abuse and exploitation.

The King and Queen have visited Brazil, where the Queen grew up. The King, Queen and Madeleine have also carried out activities with the World Childhood Foundation in Bahía and São Paulo.
In Bahía, the Royal Couple visited Complexo de Escuta Protegida. At the newly opened center, made possible by Childhood, abused children receive help and support in one and the same place.
In São Paulo, the Royal Couple and Madeleine visited Na Mão Certa (On the right track). The project, started 16 years ago, targets truck drivers with the aim of bringing about changes in attitude and behavior regarding sexual abuse of children along the roads. They visited also Resgatandos Vidas, center which conducts leisure activities for children and young people.
During yesterday, the Queen and Madeleine attended a board meeting of Childhood Brasil.

Queen Silvia attended today Digital International Council Meeting of the World Childhood Foundation.
 
Queen Silvia attended yesterday a board meeting of the World Childhood Foundation.
She attended also the delivery of the Childhood Prize 2022 to Andreas Carlson, youth recreation leader at Hellberg School in Sundsvall, who with great commitment and courage stands by the children in all situations. The winner was announced digitally by Princess Madeleine during a ceremony at Postkodlotteriet on Thursday evening.
During her speech Madeleine said:
“Andreas, with great courage you stand on the children's side in all situations. You involve and delegate responsibility to the students in everyday life, which makes them grow and believe in themselves. You see all the children and take responsibility for teachers and other students both at school and on the school grounds. You are a safe adult that the children can always turn to. We are so impressed by you Andreas and it is with great pleasure that we can give you the Childhood prize. Congratulations!"

The court has updated to its website, that queen Silvia and Madeleine attend on 10th May at "A special Childhood evening at Gröna Lund".
